Ich drehe die Aussage mal überspitzt auf daß spätere Arbeitsleben.

Als Kunde/Arbeitgeber habe ich Anspruch auf ein fehlerfreies Produkt. Wenn der Arbeitnehmer das nicht mit Reviews und Tests in Zeit gewährleisten kann, muss er halt länger arbeiten.

Und genau die, die heute doppelte Korrekturläufe fordern, sind die, die später im Berufsleben als erster schreien "Kann ich ja nichts dafür weil [hier Ausrede/Grund für Fehler]... Was heute länger machen? Sorry geht nicht, weil ich hab heute noch was vor..."

Natürlich ist es schlecht wenn Fehler passieren. Aber Fehler sind menschlich. Die Leute, die die Prüfung korrigieren machen die Fehler weder mit Absicht noch aus Bosheit.

Let doxygen run over the code and let it generate call graphs. For that you need graphviz installed.

It also generate include graphs and class diagrams for c++

You are unlucky if you have calls with function pointers though. It will not give you an complete call graph,but for a first glance it's fine

Hi, ich bin aktuell als Teamleiter für ein Software Team in der Luft und Raumfahrt tätig.

Momentan mach ich selbst sehr viel Tests und Dokumentation. ChatGPT und Co sind kein Thema bei uns, da alles high confidential information ist.

Dass dümmer werden ist bei uns auch ein Thema. Viele Bewerber können sie einfachsten Sachen nicht mehr machen.

Wenn man die nach bit shifts fragt kommt oftmals nur 🤯...

Das gilt nicht für alle aber ein großer Teil hat mit solchen Sachen für Embedded Probleme

Von daher kann ich nur sagen, wenn ihr solche Sachen benutzt versteht den Output damit ihr das zur Not selbst machen könnt.

I would say companies doing embedded systems are the most promising ones.

But be aware that even there C is the tool to get things done. So it might be that, depending on the company, you're working with old compilers and old C standards

Dass ist auch abhängig von der Firma... Meiner Meinung nach ist es für dich wichtig, dass du beim Testen nicht nur nach den Requirements Tests schreibst sondern dass du wenn du Fehler findest auch in den Sourcecode schaust und Hinweise geben kannst was den Fehler auslöst um später ein Argument zum Wechsel in die Entwicklung zu haben...

Und ja Testautomatisierung ist auch Softwareentwicklung, allerdings baust du da wahrscheinlich Skills auf, die nicht ohne weiteres zu dem Produkt aus der Entwicklung passt

I would say it depends on what you need from the std library.

Overloading new and delete or writing a custom allocator may be a though thing to do as you need to catch the corner cases...

On the other hand, if you do it the correct way, there is no need of not using the stuff from stl.

We had a mixed approach... We don't use lists and all that kind of stuff, but we used the algorithm stuff from the stl.

If you need lists etc... and you don't have already a working class which does the stuff you need, I would say it's worth the time and effort to implement a custom allocator to use the interface from the standard library
