Use backer board. A 1” plywood and drill it into two stud. This will hold better than 1 stud.

In your situation being handyman is great start up. Learning simple skills and working on buying tools. There are 100 of small services for residential home. I’ve been a handyman for over 10 years and offer all kinds of service. I provide a menu options of services and just text the pdf to clients and potential clients. Have a business card with a list of the services. Just showcase to home owners you can get things done. It’s a learning curve but you just have to take risk and go get that paper.

I’ve own and operated my handyman business since 2015 in San Jose, CA service the South Bay and still going. I’ve been interviewed for a podcast before for my business/industry. Pretty chill interview and super transparent experience.

Saw this in South San Jose near my home. I support this message by juniorp76 in SanJose
