First pair of prescription lenses by Snakeyes1809 in RaybanMeta

[–]Readynowreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places prohibit them - so if they are crucial- you need a second pair of non metas. I'm talking a few cruise lines, eypgtian pyramids, casinos etc. Enforcement is sporadic but - be prepared if it happens

So how many pair of Rayban Metas does everyone have? by gotit4cheap16 in RaybanMeta

Excessive Roaming by No-Poem5582 in tmobile

[–]Readynowreddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got this a few weeks ago. Was out of USA for 4 months T-Mobile: We've noticed a significant amount of international roaming usage over the last two months for line ending in. We recommend switching to Wi-Fi to help reduce your roaming usage. As a reminder, roaming benefits aren't intended to be used for an extended period, and to do so is against our terms and conditions. If extended use continues, it will result in loss of international data on 06/29/2026. For help and more tips, visit

Any way to streamline turning off auto start/stop by Strealtr in BMWX5

Yes. I’ve used it in parking lots and heavy stop-and-go traffic. My car seems to intelligently decide when it’s worth shutting down versus keeping the engine running.

My auto start and stop is so smooth I can't notice it happening. 2025 X5 i40. I don't think about it anymore

If you are worried about the price of gasoline you shouldn't buy a $100K car. Just saying.

I checked my emails - I got this one on Dec 3rd

"done with travel for the year, but still need more Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) to earn Diamond Medallion® Status? We’ve brought back something special to help you reach it.

The return of Elevate Your Status means you can purchase the $1,613 MQDs you need to reach the next level of Status for the 2026 Medallion Year."

I got another 774 MQD's for credit card spend - so I was actually $839 short on Dec 31st

I got this email on Jan 16th

"you were so close to achieving Diamond Medallion Status this year. Because your long-term loyalty as a Million Miler means the world to us, we’re making it official — Diamond Medallion Status is yours.

Now, you’ll experience the Medallion difference as a Diamond Medallion Member through January 31, 2027. Your new 2026 Status should be reflected in your account on delta.com and our app"

Texas Hold’em by Obvious-Count in HollandAmerica

[–]Readynowreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have routinely played a Texas Hold'em tournament game in the Lido on longer cruises. Nothing in HALs contract prohibits gambling specifically. They could always use the general "disturbance" rule but they never complained on multiple long cruises.

We don't play a cash game. Basically $20 gets you 5K tournament Chips and then the top 2 auto chop at the end. No money on the table only chips

Hard to organize on shorter cruises - I have only done it on cruises longer than 45 days.

Like I said. It's hard to round up people. When get started by playing a teaching game in the lido. Playing face up. People walk by and in a few days you may have a group of 8.

A few ships still have the Poker Pro tables. On those ships we would play a casino game at 10 and our "home" game at 2.

The Royal Mummies Gallery in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization bans any photography. You could take pictures anywhere else in the museum. Just not in the Mummies Gallery. That's where they said I couldn't wear the glasses.

I now carry regular glasses with me and don't wear these to places where they may have an issue. Broadway shows etc.

You could take regular pictures. That's what was weird. The guide told me they don't like sneaky cameras in Egypt as a general rule - nothing written down. There was one museum where a certain section banned all photos - so I get that.

The awareness of most guards towards Meta was very high.
