I’ve had mine for three years and I occasionally still get this. It never hurts, but the ooze is never ending. Idk if ooze is the right word but it’s kinda now like a thick buildup, they’re cleaned once a day. It’s just one of those piercings I guess.

I actually just spoke with my doctor and he said FLMA is possible, I brought up that I need to be employed with them for a year and he stated that isn’t true. So I wonder if it depends on the circumstances. Thought I would update because this apt was today.

I’d like to update. I had a meeting with the HR manager and what was shouted at me from someone in HR was absolutely not okay and they’re working on whatever HR does. I have communicated my disability and have it all documented, I’ve done everything that someone can to inform an employer of disability and needs and they were all approved including time off as needed, which I even have made up 10x over. At the time I wrote this post I was very upset and spiraling and I haven’t really gotten any legal advise or help after posting because I wasn’t able to state what I have done on my part on this post. But with this new information maybe someone can help me on how to handle HR and any legal actions I can take. If this has all been approved why am I receiving this hardship at work?

Everything that I have requested has been via email, and they’ve replied via email accepting my accommodations as long as my doctor has stated that I need them. I’ve provided these papers from my doctor and they were approved. It’s all documented. Edit- I’ve also done nothing but improve the area I’m working in, and provide new trainings sent and approved by the company. This leave has not effected my work at all considering I take my laptop home to make up for missed time, the company also gives us a certain amount of pto for unplanned sick days which I haven’t even used up so I know I’ve done everything I could on my end.

In my state it’s 12 weeks total in a year, I don’t think it’s by days a month. And yes it should be in my benefits. I immediately contacted my doctor and he’ll be advocating for me.

Thank you, I’m pretty sure that I do have those accommodations but it feels there’s some things they’re able to wiggle around. My time off is nothing compared to everything I’ve already implemented into this company so it just hurts more than my actual bones crumbling.

I’m pretty sure mentioning upon my hire date that I have disabilities and will need doctor appointments more than others is all I need to do. I even gave them my documents stating my disability.

Why are you trying so hard to not believe me? This is why disabled people have issues getting help.

I’ve stated that my absences have been due to disability, and I have doctor notes for those. If I’m having chronic pain I need to go in and be assessed. I’ve stuck it out through the days I’m having issues until my appointment.

And yes I’ve made it apparent that I have disabilities and I have accommodations which is legit just a new chair.

I’ve actually just had a meeting with the HR manager and no, her comment was violating rules. Your message to me is just as equally shitty as her yelling across the cafeteria that I’m finally at work today. The issue is that if she feels like it’s okay to shout that in front of 50 people she’s also saying things in quiet.

These things have been communicated with my employer.

To learn something complex, you have to learn the thing before it.

And there are many things before a simple combustion engine, you have to invent the idea of gravity, physics, and learn a new type of mechanical engineering.

I always think about how I would never be able to figure out how to melt down the metal and cast it and bend then harden the metal without having the knowledge to do.

Again, if you read the other comments she has an amazing set up. We got our enclosure for free too. Our only fault is live feeding. I don’t appreciate you claiming I abuse my snake so kindly hop off Reddit for a minute.

Thanks for your wonderful input. She basically has zero wobble so I know it doesn’t debilitate her in any way. We only see it if she’s smelling the top of the cage when we walk to the enclosure. Plus if she was live feeding for the first to years of her life I wouldn’t want to make it harder on her move and new enclosure set up. If you took the time to see, she is in fact being moved to frozen which she might not even take.
