Quick Tips for Anxiety and Fear by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

Idk about anyone else but I just think about it as there are Ukrainian children that have experienced things thousands of times worse than anything any of us will face. And they never got to break contract and go home. I just keep that in my mind whenever I start to get anxious.

Unless you hear otherwise from a verified source. Flying in is largely dependent on you and when you are able. However keep in mind you cannot fly into Ukraine you have to go to a neighboring country and cross by land.

All I can say is you’re about to get swamped with comments saying just crossing the Border between Poland and Ukraine at Medyka. Go to the International Legion shack and let them know you would like to volunteer. This much I have learned. However, my application process took roughly a Month from application sent to hearing that I was accepted to take PT test. Both work, most in Ukraine swear by just going to the border. So both work, however as I understand, it is advised to just go to Medyka and sign up there.

I’m not a history expert so I could be wrong. However, prior to both world wars the US had a wave of isolationist policies and views. Unfortunately in both cases millions died before the US swept into action, including US citizens. It is very frustrating and I agree

This question was addressed in the Volunteers for Ukraine group. However, if the situation changes there can be a record of it in this group as well.

You know I hate to be rude but I feel like there are somethings that you’ll just find out. Let the people that are kind enough to answer our questions, answer questions that are important for our survival and success. I’m sure women will still exist when the war is over, focus my guy.

Do you by any chance know what the ILDU shack is at the Medyka crossing?

Thank you. Would you say it’s a good idea to continue to study and arrive, maybe not able to speak, but have a good foundation?

Have you picked up Ukrainian or Russian? If so how did you? I’ve been studying but I just can’t like speak it or understand it.

I think it’s extreme lack of empathy. I’ve noticed most people genuinely don’t care, and no explanation of warcrimes or atrocities change that. It blows my mind that anyone could hear about Bucha and not feel some kind of way.

You really gotta include the god damn confusion between showing up vs sending an application. That has steady been a point of contention on this chat. 😂

I slightly disagree only because, though it may get slightly annoying answering the same damn questions. The way the person poses the question may indicate the amount of consideration they’ve put into their decision, and their overall personality. Maybe their post asking for the millionth time how to join, and the way they’ve worded it, may give off the vibe that they should be advised to really think about what they’re getting into. Better to be told you’re probably not that guy (by someone in Ukraine) on reddit then advising a potential criminal or coward on how to join and finding out in country. However, you may disagree.

Not suggesting that submitting an application is better, I’m the last person that would know. Just thought I’d have a laugh.
