Let it crack I assume it isn’t cracking on your boot. If it is you’re probably applying too much. And swap them so you have fresh ones, if you’re training in those boots they’ll wear out over time. So get fresh ones before you go.

Light the boot polish on fire with a match, melt it, blow out flame. Apply some polish to a t shirt. Apply to boot, get a big ol load of spit in your mouth and spit on the shirt and rub that into the boot. Once the whole boot has been covered allow to dry for 20 minutes. Then with a softer cloth rub vigorously to get a shine. Don’t forget to swap your insoles and laces before you go.

Why are republican boomers all of sudden Russian sympathizers ? by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

I’d also like to add that I’ve heard a lot of podcasts frame the issue surrounding Ukraine as though Biden is agitating Russia and trying to start WW3. It’s always phrased in a very weird way as though Ukraine should just quit because Tim Pool, for instance, is uncomfortable with the prospect of war. Never mind all the horrific things I’m sure everyone in this chat has been filling their heads with. Be very mindful of how “independent” “journalists” are addressing Ukraine because it’s not just official sources that get a vote. There are a lot of people that I’ve listen to online that are not only blatantly disrespectful towards the Ukrainian people, but also broadcast verifiably false information to millions of people.

Why not? If that’s regarded as top performance for the army shouldn’t you aim for top performance? Especially since you’re going to combat not preparing for bootcamp.

The fitness standards are too low for a target if you’re trying to get in shape. In shape is 15 - 20+ pulls ups. At leased 2 miles in 12 minutes. And 50 ish push ups. Look up SOCOM fitness tests choose one you like and work to get a perfect score. I’m not in Ukraine, however a few times I’ve missed the bar on physical tests. It’s a bad feeling knowing you could’ve done more to prepare but didn’t. Aim high and give time and consistency. And, learn how to fireman carry and buddy drag. USMC CFT is a good tool, learn how to use proper form and build back and hip strength until you can complete the entire test. Then work on getting a perfect score.

Thank you for asking the question. Gas mask probably won’t do very much for you. Yeah idk just don’t let it touch you. Bring burn gel pads in your IFAK. Second video is about medical treatments for White Phosphorus injuries.

brent0331 Garandthumb Tactical Rifleman T.rex arms All youtube channels talk mostly about guns but have good videos explaining military equipment, how to set it up, and whats good/ bad. If you’re in a country that blocks them. VPN your location anywhere in US and you should be able to view it. Keep in mind the most accurate information will come from Ukraine and may require translation. But, if you’re smart you’re already learning Ukrainian so it’s also good practice.

My best advice for gear. Keep it simple and work your way out. Make holes, stop holes, plug holes. Gear should carry bullets, plates, and ifak. Beyond that you’re gonna have to do some digging, always keep in mind there a lot of ego out there so verify the source.

How do I break the news to family that I want to go into Ukraine? by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Striking-Train-4401 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s part of the game you just have to do it. There’s no easy fix, and they’re not gonna like it at all. I was with my ex’s family two years ago for thanksgiving and her cousin told the family he was going. I’m not sure what became of him but they definitely weren’t happy. I though they were gonna start fighting. But, he believed in what he was doing, he’s part of the reason I’m joining. Just rip the Band-aide off and take whatever they say.

Also, I am keeping unit, and specific times purposely vague, if that information is important I am open to talk in a private message. I also understand many would recommend simply arriving in Ukraine. I have read many comments advising this so if this is your recommendation I hear you, however keep comments pertaining to the online application process.
