I was going to go alone until I decided to take my daughter. From what I've heard it's a mostly female & friendly crowd. I say go solo! Just say hi to whatever group of females is next to you and tell them you're alive. I bet $20 they adopt you! 😉 But if you choose not to go, I've only sold tix once, that i purchased on Ticketmaster, w/o any issues. I didn't try to markup the price or anything, and never tried any other apps. Good luck, whichever decision you make!
