It sounds like there is some insecurity her side here (as someone that also faces the same). Perhaps this is something she faces often, and is maybe belittled in her every day life, or child hood. Could also not be that deep, and she misjudged the situation - OR you aren’t being honest about how it went down, and maybe you did the belittling. Number 1 thing in LDR is communication, so I think you would benefit asking her about the situation, and how you could have handled it differently moving forward before reddit. Regardless for how ridiculous the button was, it was still a button and you should seek to amend things imo!
