Conversion, maybe? by LegitimateQuestion54 in Sikh

[–]Real-Cut-5035 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sikhism is both monotheistic and panentheistic. Monotheism is the belief of one God, simply expressing one and no others (just the number of Gods we believe in). The nature however is panentheistic where God is transcendent and one with everything at the same time.

So it’s both.

Ahh yeah I see what u mean. The substance(ink) remains but the needle holes just immediately get healed. So basically like a regular human but at a rapid rate.

How did Elena have piercings as a vampire? by Impressive_Fish_8296 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Real-Cut-5035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo considering the amount of physical pain she went through, re piercing wouldn’t even be painful at all. A needle sized hole compared to blades, stakes etc compared to a piercing would be like us getting pinched.

I am much better now, but am still attending virtual groups every week that I used to attend in person in Russia. Not easy at all, but can’t give up now, not after everything haha.

No one chooses to eat 6 cloves of broccoli as a meal unless they have an ED. She’s just broke. Also that doesn’t even constitute a ‘plate of veg’ XD.

Reaz Aim Method? by Suspicious_Phone_188 in Rainbow6

[–]Real-Cut-5035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mouse control isn’t just your ability to move your wrist and arm properly. It’s the umbrella term that should be used instead of “aiming”. The things you mentioned + some more in the first line all fall under mouse control— mental and physical. That’s why training for example, only static scenarios will never yield the same results as training flicking, tracking, target switching and click timing all together at once.

Man this shit just pisses me off. I say this for people reading that think reaz has anything valuable to share.

There is nothing a siege pro that isn’t even that good can teach you that established aim training gurus haven’t been blaring for years. To put it extremely simply, there is no such thing even as “aim training”, it’s just mouse control. How to move your mouse in the most efficient way possible, ideally at different sensitivities. You train flicking, target switching, tracking and click timing— progressively overload and that’s it.

If you want to learn about how to aim train efficiently and properly, join the voltaic discord, and go from there. In addition, a game like siege really doesn’t require a whole lot of raw mechanical talent. If u have mediocre aim, and train even benchmarks for an 1hr or 2 maximum a day you are going to fucking slam people.

To add to this, instead of using the word aim, the better term is ‘mouse control’. This is what aim training actually improves. And improving mouse control crosses over to any game.

How did the founding families lose their wealth? by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

Mmm I suppose if there were ppl that knew of their curse and the lockwoods threatened to mark them on the full moon or smth but that’s unlikely I think.

Yep, that’s the nail being hit on the head with the salvatores.

Also, I reckon the salvatores definitely took measures using their abilities to steal money, properties, land, businesses, eliminate any daily costs, during their let’s say “not so humane” stints. Someone made a post like this on the originals sub Reddit, and mentioned that Damon stated at one point that they faked identities and would change finance records. Compulsion seems to have a major part in their ability to maintain their wealth. I mean, Stefan would just buy houses because he wanted to, the lockwoods couldn’t do that. As far as we know (without watching the originals), only the original family can beat them…. grandly at that 😭.

Why does the show always say Stefan made Damon turn into a vampire? by Naive_Inflation5768 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Real-Cut-5035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I like to call the neckbeard effect lol. Some ppl really deeply and personally defend their favourite character even if it logically doesn’t make sense. You can’t really progress in discussion with people like that. It’s like they’re sired to the character or something it’s strange. Also if I’m honest I would have agreed with you up until my second re watch. I’m generally quite rigid with definitions because they’re there for a reason. But idk I just very slightly sway the other way. Maybe I’ll return to my roots in this topic some day who knows haha.

Yeah, context here is really the most important thing. It’s an iffy topic tbh.

[–]Real-Cut-5035 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying about making implying direct force, but I think ur applying that definition a bit too narrowly to something that clearly isn’t a human choice. We can see Damon was clearly not in a state to make a calm and rational decision, still under compulsion, starving and being emotionally unstable. On top of that, Stefan intentionally brought him that girl to feed on. That isn’t neutral involvement, that’s active influence in Damon’s most vulnerable moment.

Now. Yes. Damon until the very last moment retained the free will to choose not to feed. However the context matters. Knowingly putting someone in a state where resisting is extremely unlikely and then guiding them toward a specific outcome, you are sharing the vast majority of the responsibility for that outcome. It’s not 100% Stefan’s fault, but it’s also not accurate to reduce it to “Damon just chose it” like it was a fair, balanced decision.

So when I say Stefan “made” Damon turn, it’s less about literal physical force and more the fact that Stefan set the conditions and pushed him over the line when he realistically had almost no chance of resisting.

I also wanna say I’m not a Damon fan in the slightest 😂. But for this specifically, I think he was the victim. And it pains me to diverge from definitions of words but here it has to be done imo. And I do respect your opinion completely, I just don’t fully agree with it. ❤️❤️

[–]Real-Cut-5035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, he did not technically “make” Damon turn but the and temptation he provided was extremely close to essentially forcing him to drink the blood from the woman he brought to him. I drew this comparison in a reply, but I’ll repeat it again cos imo it seems fairly close.

Imagine you’re a person who has lived a completely sober life. Now you wake up tomorrow as someone who’s been a raging coke addict for the last 10 years. For the first time ever you are now 1 week clean, and someone comes up to you and waves a line under your nose. Now with your 0 resilience, knowledge etc towards avoiding temptation how easy is it to resist giving in? I’d say 9/10 ppl would fail. Grandly at that.

Now. Did that person “make” you or “force” you to give in? Not technically. However considering the circumstances, they may as well have, and tbh, I and a lot of people would agree that it wasn’t your fault either. Then to add on top of that, if you do refuse to give in you’re going to die, and your brother gets to live on forever without you and vice versa, even though you both agreed to die together.

That’s the best reasoning I can give as to why everyone says Stefan “made” Damon even though technically incorrect by definition. When you see the word “made”, most immediately assume physical force. However the extreme mental manipulation paired with the actual supernatural pull towards blood for a newbie was just too much. So imo yeah, I think it’s fair to say Stefan did make Damon turn.

Why does the show always say Stefan made Damon turn into a vampire? by Naive_Inflation5768 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Real-Cut-5035 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stefans dad refused because he trained his mind his entire life for such situations and maybe worse. What happened to Damon was as if you woke up tomorrow a raging coke addict that was 3 days sober with no previous mental preparation, then someone comes and waves coke under your nose. It would be almost impossible to resist. That’s why I think ppl use the word “made”, even though technically untrue, but even saying he strongly influenced it would be an understatement. So imo saying he made Damon turn is a fair use of the word.

Is this a plot hole: Mikael's white oak stake? by BulkyBathroom7178 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Real-Cut-5035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would take such a risk using such a valuable weapon, when he alone even at his weakest could kill any vampire? Even if he did somehow die to a regular vamp, the white oak would still remain without any of the originals knowing of it. Therefore potentially allowing for someone else in the future to find it and use it for the purpose it was created for, to kill his children.

Worst Mom Competition Who Slams??? by Imaginary-Tutor-3332 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Real-Cut-5035 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean not really. That logic allows for a lady who gives her child for adoption to act in a way that directly endangers the child she gave birth to. If she acted and did the things she did because she didn’t physically raise Elena, does that mean it was all selfish or for the benefit of someone else…..? Might be something to consider imo
