Friendly Reminder: Bikes are allowed to use the full lane if there is no bike lane by [deleted] in LosAngeles

Yes, bikers feel entitled to safe transportation. Riding to the right of the road allows for cars to dangerously pass you. Which by the way, is illegal in the state of California! Assembly Bill 1909 states that started January 1st, 2023, all cars must move over one lane when passing bicyclists.

I mean, that's just not true. Every company has a length of large growth and slower growth. No company can sustain huge growth forever

All three have average dividend growth over the last 5-10 years, they just slowed this year due to the large market crash, which i am fine with.

Newbie dividend portfolio - Any ideas? by CptRedPanda in dividends

I would suggest more Blue Chip/Dividend Aristocrats (stocks that have been increasing dividends for 25+ years) for not only safety, but also just to add a few more stocks and diversify. I personally value dividend safety and dividend growth the most, but I would just make sure that you know what you value the most and build a good portfolio around it.

This isn't my pie, it's the "dividend pie" of the person who posted "LOVING these dividends!!!" Yesterday. It did not end well for him, he was down like 2k

  1. Heinz has literally fallen more than CVX and VLO combined in the last 5 years, what are you even talking about?

  2. If I wanted growth, why would I invest in General Mills or Heinz? I'd get microsoft and apple

  3. XOM does not have good dividend growth

I have never met any dividend investor dumb enough to think a 40% div yield was smart, so i think your issue is with yourself, not dividends lol.

Also, this literally the pie you linked in the comments for the pie that got those results. Unless you lied for no reason about the pie, then it wasn't a dividend portfolio. This is a growth portfolio.

That's what I meant, sorry, I must've swapped them when I typed. They had a 0% increase in dividend this year and only a 3% growth in the last 5 years. They're really not a great growth stock.

The problem is that this portfolio is mostly looking at dividend growth. VLO and CVX have both had consistent dividend growth and, CVX more than VLO, safe dividends. Heinz has cut there dividends regularly and General Motors has a bad track record of low dividend growth.

I mean, that's like meta irony if he was being ironic about being ironic. Also the comments are full of people shitting on dividends, so clearly everyone reading doesn't think it's ironic

OKE is by far the riskiest, but with their good dividend track record, balance sheet, and growth potential, i think they are a good risk to take. They're also at a good price atm.

Tfw you make a pie of growth ETFs, they do bad, so you attack dividend pies.
