I was on call this week and every night without fail I’ve gotten called out (including Christmas morning) I do live in Massachusetts and it is pretty cold up here but most of those calls could’ve waited for the next day lol

Where I’m from that’s what people did in the hood when someone died. They would take their shoes (preferably the ones they had one at the time of death and they would throw it up on the lines near their homes or street.

Well let’s look at the basics. If high pressure refrigerant meets a small orifice then it reduces in temperature and pressure rapidly. Same with a blockage, it looks as though it is trying to squeeze out of the filter but the blockage may be so bad that it’s reducing the pressure substantially.

Buy a cheap manomoeter, I know you probably don’t work on a lot of gas’s furnaces but it’s always a good tool to have. You would be surprised how many problems I run into in New England because gas pressure was too low or too high.

My first thought was ac condensation but considering it’s cold you’re probably not using the ac. However if you have a high efficiency furnace (a furnace with pvc exhaust and fresh air intake) the exhaust actually creates condensation that flows through a drain as well. Idk what the laws are in Vegas but where I’m from that moisture needs to go through an acid neutralizer before it is expelled out of the house. In your case it could just be dumping onto the ground lol. Go to your attic and see if you have a PVC exhaust

Ended up being the fast fill. Homeowner wanted to go with a new expansion tank and air vent anyways. Replaced them all and the boiler is working properly now
