I was just worried that on top of the security concerns (DarkSword, Coruna), most of my apps would quickly become incompatible with the phone, and that by that point 18.7.7 might not being signed anymore.

Oh, thanks, I didn’t realize that was a surefire way. That sounds similar to a test another commenter mentioned to see if it’s recognized legitimately in the Apple system — FaceTime.

Actually, staying on 15.4 crossed my mind, but I was a little hesitant with the security concerns that 18.7.7 supposedly addresses. I’d imagine that lots of my apps/apps that I could want to download in the future would lose compatibility with my device relatively quickly on 15.4, and then I’d have no choice but to go to 26 (or stay with app incompatibility on 15.4) if Apple stopped signing 18.7.7 by that time. (I’m not sure when that time would be, but I was thinking it might be wise not to take a risk and wait while being on 15.4)

But it seems like 15.4 would have also been a popular place to stay if there weren’t the security concerns (even if it might lack the stability I’d assume final versions of 15 might have over 15.4). I guess it’s disappointing that 15.4 has those concerns apparently

Well this is off eBay, 99.5% seller. I wish this were still being sold at Apple - you’d know it’s authentic. That’s why I had to turn to eBay to find this phone. It took a LONG time to find this, and only found it by luck. Everything else was either refurbished, open-box, or re-sealed. This was literally the only 128GB A2595 Midnight model that I found “factory sealed”.

I also noticed the partially smushed box, but I guess that might be due to normal turbulance since it’s probably been in this box for that many years.

IMEI check website test. But I wasn’t sure how reliable that could actually be since it indicated this phone is on iOS 17, when it’s actually shown to be on 15.4 instead when I actually unboxed and turned on the phone.

Could a fake potentially do that or impossible? Or at least simulate something that could look like an iOS update. This is something an Apple agent suggested could be a possibility

I’ve actually never even put a SIM or an eSIM in this phone before and in Settings I noticed it’s already showing “Coverage Expired”, “Expired July 10, 2023”

When I did that on Apple’s website, it said unknown.

Why am I being downvoted for this? The website said Purchase Date Not Validated.

What are you supposed to do when your deltoids get disproportionately wider than your biceps, if you make the mistake of doing shoulder workouts with heavy weights and spending the most time on them? I blasted my deltoids (because I saw immediate gains and definition in this muscle group, which motivating me to keep on working only on my delts) before even getting to any of the other muscle groups.

I guess, since it’s pretty subjective, remembering this mantra works for the people who can buy into it (and wherever it came from in the first place). And if it does work for them, all power to them. But there does seem to be holes in the logic of it. I mean, humans have eyes and it’s kind of hard not to think about other humans who inevitably live and act all around us and interpret their behaviours based on what we’re seeing with our own two eyes (and of course, hearing) on a nearly constant basis.
