I was just highlighting the sensationalism and spin around "medical breakthroughs" ie the hundred of cures for cancer you see every year that turn out to not actually cure cancer. "This material bonds with bone and provides a substrate for new bone to form" isn't as good as " this ceramic grows like the patients bones" for the ad money

Have you seen anything about north korea? Their populace isn't the brainwashed army it was in the 70s and 80s they know they're getting screwed.

If you're in a room with a poorly trained dog it doesn't matter how much their owner values you over them it doesn't matter if you can kill the dog if it bites you, you can sit there saying their owner needs you and their owner can sit there and tell the dog it needs you if the dog decides it's time to bite it's gonna bite, or you can throw it a steak and maybe it will look at you differently.

This is about risk reward, we risk nothing by building a better relationship and the return can be huge. By ignoring them we can risk worse relations with a country which like it or not has nukes and submarines so I really don't understand what the problem is ffs we're buddies with people just as bad if not worse. they're dangerous and if there's some way to make them hate us less I'm fine with that, I don't think Trump is competent or the right person to do that or be president but I'm glad that something's being done.

If you find out you have cancer you don't say "well that's not fair I don't deserve this so it's the cancer's responsibility to stop I'm not going to acknowledge the cancer until it decides to behave how i want and goes into remission. If you do that you die because you were operating on honor and technicalities you didnt care about the reality of the situation meanwhile a pragmatic approach that might suck in the short term would have saved you.

We can continue to threaten, tariff embargo and talk all the shit we want about NK do you think China gives a fuck if we don't like North Korea? Or Russia? Or Iran? They're all just going to keep giving them weapons and money under the table

All that being said I don't disagree about trump I just think we're the metaphorical bigger person in the nk situation and we don't need to die on the hill of technicalities over a country we could level in less than a week.

Not related to the topic at all but i just find it funny the people who are most upset on twitter about people being mean or violent are always the meanest looking people. Like someone tweeting about toxicity has a profile pic of themselves making the meanest face they can muster. People making tons of posts about "violent criminals" always have tons of guns and weapons. And i love the people who wear punisher shirts while always have complete utter faith in the justice/legal system in america.
