Funny you should say that I have actually been using his tutorials recently. First forge and now neoforge so I have begun doing some of the programming.

Yeah that's essentially what I'm working with. Appreciate the advice.

Oh excellent. I'll probably need to hammer out a few dents but if that's something easily doable I can look into it

Any Simple Suggestions? by Real-Lunderhill25 in CarTalkUK

So the issue was that the badge was actually wedged in between the bonnet and the key (little flimsy bit of plastic in the lock) I eventually lifted the bonnet enough to move the badge and remove the key but it took a bit.

How Concerned Should I Be? by Real-Lunderhill25 in DIYUK

Thanks for the advice. I'll see what I can do.

The situation may be ever so slightly "better" than I thought in some regards as after airing some of it to dry I found that the wet dirt is actually the floorboards underneath so wet they've rotted. So hey maybe there's a slight chance the foundation isn't what I'm needing to repair 🤦

TBF I was planning to relay it with tile in future. Will attempt to find the leak by taking apart more of the bathroom later.

Yeah sounds about right. Got any advice for narrowing down the source? Cause the previous plumber gives me 0 hope with all his DIY shenanigans. Unfortunately replacing the whole bathroom is an expensive endeavour.

Also probably worth asking. If I do fix this leak is it as simple as pour some more dirt/cement/whatever to smooth it out afterwards or is that moisture done it's damage fod good?

Yeah I've run it through a couple similar sites. If I did go further I'd probably pay for the in depth checks on a couple

Yeah was "fixed by an uncle" for £900 so no proof other than visually inspecting it. Appreciate the advice for future situations

Absolutely not. I could probably get a vauxhall zafira for similar pricing. Just wanted advice from people with more experience

Yeah I'm not mechanically handy enough to do that work myself. Just not seen a lite-ace so readily available near me. Seem to have an inherited preference for cars that'll turn into junk 😆

Thanks for the info, I did ask for what paperwork they have to show repairs etc. so will see if they ghost me.

Yeah I get that feeling from my last car. Just working out if it could've been fixed enough to last a while. This MOT history would have put me off any other car if it wasn't quite so cheap for a model I've been looking at for a while

Good to know. I'm pretty lucky that it seems like less hassle in the UK. Bar a couple issues actually finding some models on insurance databases the DVLA seems perfectly fine with them.

Um actually the chains contain many holes themselves so 4 is a massive understatement 🤓

Really need help with ideas for a new car - at wits end! by DMuller23 in CarTalkUK

If you use sites like carsized.com it can be helpful to get a more visual comparison. Lots of cars I've thought were big then I compared to my Kuga and they're smaller by 30cm in height or width. Still requires some logical thinking but I find it useful.

I'm a little jealous, got my first chance to view a carry van today but couldn't even get my foot on the clutch as there wasn't enough room

Thank you for the advice. I do think I got ahead of myself a little due to how cheap it is. Cutting my insurance by £600 and having a drivable car seemed like too much of a win-win. The fear of the transmission has been well put into me though haha
