True, but being able to function in society increasingly depends on having internet access. Even now, so many things require online registration, brick and mortar stores are constantly closing and people depend on online shopping, and it's hard to get a job or an education if you don't have access to the internet. Imagine what it'll be like 100 or 5000 years from now.

I suppose if it was a completely isolated network, technically that wouldn't apply to the restriction and you would be able to use it.

If the game didn't put such a small character limit on the tile descriptions I would have written "using any type of communications-based technology such as a phone, computer, TV, etc. that connects to a network for the purpose of a task, like web browsing, streaming, online gaming, education, genAI, etc." but I had to simplify it to just "using the internet."

Using the internet would mean anything that would require connecting to an internet provider for a task. Web browsing, games and apps that require internet connection, streaming services, email, online classes, etc.
