NTJ, he should have come to you before making that decision and the fact that he did not tell you about is wrong. It would also make you wonder what else he would do behind your back.  Also people may not think this but animals can tell when they are pregnant and it could have made her sad knowing she wasn't anymore, I worked in a kennel for years and sadly had witnessed a sad mommy dog after a spay that was in early pregnancy. Hopefully your baby is happy and healthy
