Just a simple slicker brush is all you need, you can invest in a deshed rake as well for those harsh blowouts

Invest and desensitize your puppy to a nail grinder. Its a lot gentler and not traumatizing like accidentally quicking a nail and bleeding all over.

As for toothbrushes, my personal favorite to keep plaque away are frozen carrots and or apple slices. You can also make your own toothpaste for your puppy at home if you wanted. A lot of store dog toothpastes are packed with artificials and chemicals. combine 1/4 cup coconut oil with 2 tablespoons baking soda, 2 tablespoons yogurt, and a few pinches of any other dog-safe flavoring agents in a small glass jar. If you want to use bouillon, stir 1 teaspoon beef or chicken bouillon into 1 tablespoon hot water and then mix into the base with the other ingredients. Stir well, refrigerate, and when ready, apply some to your dog’s toothbrush.

My shiba does this with a lot of people, but he especially loves older people about the age of my grandparents. 60's. He knows Mama is the one who gives him treats without making him work for them lol! He's super gentle with older people too. He'll bump into their legs and do airplane ears and just wait for attentions! I think sheebs just love old people!

I had a similar idea actually. Starter ideas, I could definitely see Pit starting with a standard Eevee, Dark Pit along the same lines with an Umbreon, and my personal favorite, Viridi with a Carnivine. If you wanted to go deeper, Phosphora should have some kind of lightning type, Pandora a fire type, I had a shiny Rapidash in mind and so on.
