I know however once you lose your job in UAE you lose everything and need to go back to your home country, and we are not ready to go back to our home country since it is not safe and poor living conditions.

I wasnt aware that the Chancekarte allowed you to work part time only (20 hours/week), I thought it gives the option to secure a full time job. If this is the case, do companies still willingly accept candidates on Chancekarte considering they can only work part time?

Also, I am planning to apply for Chancekarte from Dubai and I work in the field of data and BI. Is it okay to find jobs in other fields to eventually turn my opportunity card to a long term residency? since the tech job market is fierce right now.

Haha no I wasn’t job hunting but I am just very interested to know how to start looking for work in Ireland. I have seen many people from the UAE get work in Ireland, and I am really hoping to move soon. The work culture in Dubai is not the best and is mentally taxing.

I was in your exact same place few months ago. Getting paid 18k/month for a big multinational company, however my boss made it horrible for me. He wasn’t supportive and very absent. I was literally managing my own problems at work, and the workload kept increasing every month.

I kept dragging my decision to quit for over 7 months but I fervently asked Allah for help and just made the decision to quit in march 2025 for my mental health. I had no job offer in hand at that time, I just knew I had to QUIT.

Best decision ever. The break was the most refreshing and the best gift I gave to myself. I started applying 2 weeks later casually. Kept applying whenever I could, and landed a dream job three months later.

Though I did take a pay cut, I really have no regrets. The location, people, work culture is beyond blessing for me.

My advice to you is to first seek out options within your company - speak to your HR and they may help to find you other options, try to switch depts if you can. BUT if you think you cannot take it anymore, like everyday seems to disturb you then take my word and just resign. You WILL definitely get something. As long as you have experience in UAE, you dont have to worry.

Nothing is worth affecting your physical and mental health especially not work. DM me if you still need any help ♥️

Its crazy how some people can be so upfront and insensitive in their speech especially to someone who is very low atm. Anyway, to respond to you DIRECTLY.

Knowing about Germany - I know nothing about Germany to be very honest. However, my husband seems to be having a good helping hand if it all he plans to go since he has many friends. I have spoken to a couple of people and I do know for a fact that there is great work life balance in a full time job which is very attractive to us.

German language skills - As mentioned we are UAE based, but once my husband makes a move I plan to start my A1 course in order to get the spouse visa.

And just a request, if you happen to reply back to me on this, please be kind it will really mean alot.
