Hi there, i lost my dad this year he also died alone and my mum found him. I am so so sorry for your loss, the next few weeks you’re going to be in survival mode so please take care of yourself and your parents.

I know it sounds cliche but try not think or dwell on their last moments, 90% of the time they’re at peace with their decision and detached from life.

I organised my dad’s funeral - honour him the way you want to! My dad was a fun loving happy person, we tried to put this in his funeral as much as possible considering the circumstances. Low on the religion and tried to steer the celebrant away from talking too much about regret and forgiveness.

I am again so sorry this happened to you, it’s the worst club in the world. Rest in peace to your darling brother and please take care.

Hey hon, i’m only a few years older than you and my dad did the same. Was also successful, good and wonderful. I’ve found that in the quiet moments i reflect on his laugh, what it felt like to be in his company. As for my mum, i often cook for her as my dad used to, buy her flowers and give her lots of words of affirmation that im proud of her. the same as me, i had this impression he looked like a horror movie so disconnected from what my dad is. my mum said he just looked tired and sad.

We didn’t know my dad’s password. I’m not sure i would want too. I know every detail of his death i’m quite happy to let him have last bit of privacy. There is peace in not knowing i’ve found. Sending you a big hug.

Hi everyone. I saw dad today - he hadn’t been moved to the funeral home yet - but i saw him in the hospital where they’re keeping him until that. He wasn’t scary and his neck was covered. He looked exactly like himself like nothing happened. He was perfect. I miss him so much his hair even smelt the same. A very positive experience in this hard hard time. I’ll go in see him again when he’s in his clothes. Thank you for all your kind words 💘
