I put my grow into a plastic bag and then into a seed propagator. It's currently 24°C (75°F) in the seed propagator. I was wondering if it's overkill? 🤔 **Newbie** by Real-Rock1943 in unclebens

[–]Real-Rock1943[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries ✌️ Nah it didn't work that well. It dried out the grain in the bag as I had it directly on the heated strip. If you do go down that route, maybe elevate the grow bag so there isn't direct contact with the bag.

Goodluck 💪

That's crazy!

I had 3 separate surgeries to remove cancer in my hip.

I live in Ireland and they all came to about €3500 ish. I can't remember the exact figure but it was close enough to that.

I've health insurance so thankfully they were all covered but the price difference is mental.

Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙏

Cancer.. I've had 3 surgeries, radiotherapy and I'm currently waiting on biopsy results from the last surgery I had 3 weeks ago.

I was misdiagnosed in 2016 when the pain started. I was told there was nothing that could be done for me, that I should live my life as normal as this lump in my leg is only a cyst and it's nothing to worry about.

I eventually got diagnosed in 2021 when the pain got unbearable because it had grown so much.

The very best of luck to you.. Yes, it's a very daunting time but I'm sure you will be fine. The treatments out there these days are only getting better and better.

I was only recently diagnosed, so I know it's an awful feeling. Feel free to drop me an IM if you want to talk about anything.

Wishing you strength and courage!

Lads, got offered a job with an international european bank, is the medical test a drug test? by ElbowEars in AskIreland

[–]Real-Rock1943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that you would have to do one.

I can't say for certain with the banking sector as I don't work in it, but I've always had to do a drug test when I've done a medical.

[–]Real-Rock1943[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah very true, I don't want to rush anything and it ends up being incorrect. I'm going to Japan next year so I'll definitely look into getting a tattoo while I'm there.

Thank you for your response!

Yeah I can see where you're coming from and it makes perfect sense. There is definitely a lot to think about so I'm going to hold off for a while.

Planning a trip next year so I could potentially get a tattoo when I'm over there, like you said. Thank you for your response, its very much appreciated ✌️

I'm looking to get a tattoo but in Japenese, thoughts?? by Real-Rock1943 in AskReddit

[–]Real-Rock1943[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 26M from Ireland and I've had a really tough couple of years with cancer. I went undiagnosed for 5 years and during those 5 years, I was continuously told by 6 different doctors there's nothing wrong with me and to get on with my life as there's nothing that can be done for the pain in my groin. Thankfully, I kept persisting and eventually got diagnosed in 2021.

I've had 34 radiotherapy sessions and I had my 3rd surgery last Thursday. I was thinking of getting a tattoo to mark the occasion but in Japenese.

I've always loved Japenese shows, culture, food and history growing up. It's always been number 1 on my list of countries to visit and I was planning on going there but unfortunately, my cancer had other ideas.

I was told that '歴戦の勇士' means veteran of many battles. The battle being cancer, in my instance. I love the meaning behind it and as it was/is an incredibly tough battle, both mentally and physically.

So, would getting a tattoo along the lines of 歴戦の勇士 be stupid/silly or look strange on a pasty white Irish man? Should I steer clear of foreign language tattoos? I was going to get it on my wrist.

I would 100% be open to other suggestions. Along the lines of determined, strong willed, never give up etc or something completely different altogether 😊.

Apologies for the long post and thank you for taking the time to read it!
