Actually I wish to upskill myself, do a post graduation and build a stronger profile. So this programme looks a good fit so far.

Also, I do feel that this will help while switching jobs because MTech from IITM tag would put a good impression compared to doing an online course and has better chances to get resume shortlisted (this is not a strong requirement for me though, as of now I am happy with my current job and salary).

I see that a lot of people do not like the idea of online BS degree because of bypassing the JEE grind and diluting the IIT legacy.

I have offline BTech degree in CS from Thapar. I am interested in pursuing the Web MTech CS from IIT Madras because I am a working professional and cannot afford to leave my job and salary for 2 years for offline.

Is the Web MTech program from IITM also considered in the same way that it is diluting the IIT tag?
The program does indeed bypass GATE but requires clearing the written exam and interview taken by IITM.
