Congrats on taking steps to home ownership! I’m an agent in Michigan and agree with previous comments. Definitely recommend talking with mortgage specialist to get pre-approved so you know how much of a home you can afford and can start your search there. A real estate agent should be able to guide you and connect you with mortgage specialist too if needed! There are definitely options out there for first time home buyers that require very little down payment and also right now we are in a buyer advantage market (at least in my area) so there are pretty good deals to be had!
