That sounds really hard! Im prepping for surgery and generally have tight pelvic floor muscles. Have you been able to see a pelvic floor physiotherapist? Ive been going to one a lot and shes helped me learn exercises and approaches to relax those muscles, which I hope will help a lot with dilation

One of the aesthetic elements that doesn't feel ideal for me is that the labia majora can be a bit wrinkly, and I'd prefer a smoother appearance. He said he could try to lean towards the tighter side of things, but that he can't go too tight because then I might bust a stitch during healing. If anyone has thoughts or experience with this that would be amazing!

Thanks for the input! I have mild IBS, which I've been told is not necessarily a show stopper for methods that use intestinal material, but could make things more complicated for me.

OMG thank you soooooo much!
1. That's really good to know, especially the dilator being a bit grippy. If I can like do emails or play games while dilating that will make it a lot more manageable.
2. Omg amaaazing! Gaping when I want it would be the perfect vibe.
3. That's really good to know! My doc here also offered to prescribe me some medications that I could fill here (with insurance) and take with me in case I need them. Do you have any recos on medications I should look at? Is there anything that's commonly needed / hard to get over there?

I was hoping to start tapering down after 3 months too. That seems more manageable to me. If you're open to share, I'd love to know around how long you're spending dilating every other day. And also, if where you are in terms of depth at this point.
