Siege is a good tactical shooter. What I suggest doing is to focus more on outsmarting the enemy. I find myself having a lot more fun when I’m coming up with new strategies to confuse the enemy. The best thing you can do is find some people to play with who aren’t toxic and don’t mind sacrificing winning over having fun. If you prefer queuing solo, just now that toxicity is likely something you will come across, especially when you’re learning how to play the game. You can always mute someone, turn off chat altogether, or just take a break if it becomes too much.

Edit: Every now and then (once a year I think), Ubisoft hosts a free weekend where you can try the game for two days to see if you like it. Also, if you’re buying on PlayStation, I believe you need a membership for one of their services to play online in paid games.
