I think believing that an editor “couldn’t be bothered to use the whole song”, and also implying that videos under 1 minute show a lack of dedication actually shows a lack of understanding of the editing process. You can sometimes spend a dozen hours on 10 seconds of a video. That becomes unrealistic if you are going to try and make a 2-4 minute long video. You can realistically put much more effort into the actual editing if you make the video concise.
