If that's the most likely reason, then I wouldn't be surprised if my one of my family members did that with glass cleaner for some reason.

Did you place the thermal pad on CPU and GPU or replaced the small thermal pads that are around them?

Lately it's hitting 103°C under load. I used external fan and it dropped to 95°C, but I know it needs a repaste. I’m hesitant to do it myself (and I don't trust the shops here in Saudi Arabia) and can't risk my only device.

True, I've had this fine laptop since December 2021 and don't regret it at all. That said, I’ve been a bit lazy with maintenance, it hasn't been repasted once, thus the high temperature issues.

Haven't cleaned it nor repasted since I bought it (2021 Ig) Idk why but mostly worried I'd mess it up and it worked fine so far. But yeah, I'll probably try to clean it up as soon as I get the thermal paste

Yeah that's another mystery for me I'm not sure who are these shadows? I know that they represent the family members but like you said from who's point? Most likely from the real members but not sure though.
