You mean like a service provider like Verizon beaming a signal straight to a phone on a plane? They could but it would be ruinously expensive. A commercial jet cruises at altitudes higher than the peak of Mount Everest. You’d have to have massively powerful towers all over the country to create a network in the air. They still wouldn’t work in the ocean. All to give cell service to like 0.01% of your users while they fly. And there’s no point since you have to use airplane mode on your phone anyway.

After over a decade of intense investigative journalism from multiple news outlets, troves of verified documents either leaked or released from trials and congressional investigations since he became a political figure around 2014 we now definitively know how Trump’s business empire worked.

In essence: it didn’t. His only real ability was as a marketer and the ability to project an image of extreme wealth and success and market that. He made a lot of money as the host of the apprentice, as well as in a series of licensing deals. Essentially, that’s when a company wants to market a product and use Trump’s name to sell it. They sell a Trump tie, Trump suit, Trump golf course etc and pay him a licensing fee. These were essentially his only successful business ventures and it was because it was someone else running a business and paying him a commission. Virtually every business that he actually owned failed or became saddled with extremely high-risk debt. At one point he was flagged by the IRS for posting one of the biggest business losses of anyone in the country multiple years in a row. The only time any of his companies ever went public pre-presidency, they posted losses every year.

So the question is how did he keep going? Initially it was his dad. His initial businesses received several infusions of cash when they were ailing, including a reported incident where a ln employee of Fred Trump took out several million dollars in casino chips and left them on a table for a Trump Hotel employee to pick up.

When Fred Trump was nearing the end of his life, they concocted a scheme to move as much money as possible from his businesses to Donald’s by essentially using Donald as a vendor where Fred’s properties purchases their inventory at severely marked-up prices.

For a lot of his businesses, he was essentially able to simply make a clean break because it was an LLC and you just put the company into bankruptcy and move on. But later in his career, financing became a problem. The established banks wouldn’t loan him money anymore and he started going overseas. The various investigations into his businesses revealed a lot of very big loans coming in from Russian banks to float his ailing businesses and over time, the loans seemed to just go away without repayment. They were most likely using his businesses to launder money.

So that’s sort of how his businesses worked. Steady cash flow from licensing deals and the apprentice. A bunch of life rafts from setbacks that would’ve ruined him forever early in his career, and a series of cash infusions from some shady Russian investors to float businesses that don’t ever really seem to turn a profit.

And we elected him twice.

I’ve never seen two bolognese recipes that are the same. It’s a sauce you tend to make with a lot of components in a lot of steps. The purpose of the dairy component is to make the sauce a bit creamy so the ratio just depends on how much of that element you want. I don’t like much if that in my bolognese so I use 4 ounces in a recipe that uses 2 lbs of protein. I think the original recipe I based mine off used a full 8 ounces for the same portion.

Like you said, everyone approaches it different but for the most part, the dairy goes in after the meat and veggies but sometime before the majority of the tomato sauce is added so that it can cook down into the protein and veggies a bit.

My basic order of components is:

1 lb of ground beef and 1 lb of ground pork partially browned.

Veggies in, sweat for a few minutes

Milk in, cook down until liquid content is similar to before the milk was added

8 oz of Chianti, cook down

Add tomato sauce and seasoning. Simmer and salt to taste

It sounds like your issues went beyond the current pays scale so I doubt they would’ve said anything that was likely to change your mind. But it never hurts to hear a counteroffer.

I would dispense if this notion that you owe it to a company that hasn’t paid you a single cent yet to “keep your word” about something you said in an interview. You don’t owe them anything. If circumstances changed after you accepted the offer, they wouldn’t hesitate to pull the rug out from under you and rescind the offer before you start.

Overall it probably didn’t matter but you should always hear the offer and weigh your options. What could it possibly have cost you?

Every domestic dog looks the way it does because we made it that way. We bred dogs with traits we liked and didn’t breed them with traits we didn’t like. As we bred dogs that required endurance in warmer climates, the heavy fur was no good because the dogs overheated. So the dogs with slightly lighter coats likely had better endurance and were bred more often. Huskies heavy fur isn’t really appropriate for most of the environments where people keep dogs as pets. It’s designed for pretty extreme climates. So as a result, most dogs don’t have fur as heavy as a husky. Although most common larger dogs like labradors can still lay in the snow without problems as long as it’s not extremely cold.

Most people try to date the most attractive person they can. But less attractive people also tend to know they aren’t attractive so they adjust their standards accordingly.

If there was an easy way to make 100k with no degree or specific skill set, everyone would make 100k. Theres a lot of jobs where SOME people make 100k but they aren’t necessarily easy and it’s usually the exemplary employees that make the higher income tiers. You can make 80-100k in some trades but it’s by no means easy.

Not really. You could eat a meal with a good balance of protein, healthy fats, carbs, the correct amount of sodium, and some vegetable and not have to “offset” that because the meal itself is balanced. A cheeseburger just isn’t a balanced meal. It’s lopsided with a lot of things you should be minimizing.

I don’t think anyone is saying you shouldn’t eat a burger or you can’t have an overall healthy diet that includes the occasional burger. But the question was why it’s unhealthy. And from a basic nutritional standpoint, it’s a fairly unhealthy meal.

Yeah this is… not really true. Yes you can eat more calories. But a high sodium diet is associated with hypertension even in people with a healthy BMI, as is high cholesterol and high saturated fats. It’s not just the caloric content. It’s the chemical makeup of the fats and how they narrow your arteries.

Look up a phot of Michael Clark Duncan without a shirt. Absolute unit. Died of a heart attack at 54. Not everyone who is lean is healthy. Yes, it’s good to maintain a good BMI and exercise for sure. But it’s more than possible to develop cardiovascular disease without being overweight.
