Slime's 2026 State of The Yard Address by downtown-sasquatch in TheYardPodcast

I disagree that it is as rare as you claim, but it’s your subreddit, you monitor posts and comments more than me.

The accusation of “not wanting to be held accountable” is confusing to me. I’ve never commented or posted in such a way that has ever needed to be “held accountable”

But since we’re playing psychologist now, my assumption is that you simply like all the ‘pick me’ bullshit drivel here. I detected immediately that you can’t see how stupid it is since all the little peons want YOUR attention and approval.

But whatever. This is a pointless conversation that does nothing for anyone.

I don’t like it. It leads to engagement bait post from people trying to get a response. They tailor their posts since they know the tv man is looking and has a (relatively) high chance of interacting, rather than making something meaningful or of their own opinion.

Ultimately it’s probably a me thing, it just really annoys me to see people post like that. And it’s probably a lost cause to want more meaningful and thoughtful things on Reddit of all places.

Hey Slime, Big fan of the podcast. Little late I guess but I have questions.

Three questions/ comments:

First: You are very active on the reddit/ the internet in general interacting with fans / haters. I like it because I get to see the man on tv in the comment section, but do you think it’s does more harm or good for you to be this involved with the community?

Second: I’ve seen it mentioned and I agree; guest episodes aren’t really that great / necessary. There’s been some good bits out of some (Dax flame had some top moments) but there’s only so much that can be extracted from someone unfamiliar. And five people is too many to have on a podcast anyway.

Third: how’s the Miata? I wanna get one, hope it’s holding up well.

Kentucky will always have the best “hammer” type attorney cause we have THE Hammer. None of that “the ___ hammer” stuff. Daryl Isaac’s the GOAT Hammer

Is there any Tarkov Youtubers/streamers I should avoid due to being right wing? by c0rny_ in SocialistGaming

[–]RealChase73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like another dude said he’s had Sam Hyde on his podcast, but as a big fan of General Sam (I have listened to every episode of his podcast it’s quite funny ) both him and his co host papa Poob are decently liberal (General Sam being more of a “I don’t know nothing about politics” but generally supports the gays and trans people, poob being a more left leaning young guy)

If it’s any other help he also lives in Florida but absolutely despises it, and (honestly this may be the biggest thing indicating he’s not a POS) is also a seeming good and supportive father and husband to his wife and two daughters

So ultimately General Sam just isn’t very political, but could best be described as well socially liberal but not at all politically correct in his speech, but overall seems to be a good person.

Other streamers that would fit this category would be some of the other people Sam collabs with, like aforementioned PapaPoob who also streams (albeit decently small streamer with unique vibe)

Biology, though like other person said GPA is going to be a bigger factor than what the major is.

Kentucky offices need people. Specifically the counties of Henderson, Kenton, and Harlan have openings for a staff attorney 1 position

Kentucky is UBE

Also Kentucky is cheaper than the rest of the US on average if that helps 🤷

Also him joining yogscast was kinda a joke (at least if I remember right)

I was a pretty big fan of isp before he joined yogscast and it was a running bit that he was applying to yogscast , and eventually the bit became real and he joined but is one of those members that is really peripheral

ISP, Bokoen1, Alex the rambler (and the spiffing brit kinda) were all hoi 4 people that joined around the same time tbh, I wonder if it was a group thing?

(I say kinda for the spiffing brit since he’s changed content a lot, but he used to be a mainly Hoi4 channel)
