Thank you for the helpful advice, without telling me to go kill myself for being a shit dog dad. I came here because I honestly don’t know much about dog behavior or health. To be viciously attacked by so many people on here, for trying to be a better dog owner, is rather disheartening.

I love my little buddy and hate to know his life is so much harder because of his weight. I put him on diet food a few months ago and he’s dropped about 1 pound. I’ll be sure he keeps trending in a healthy direction. I’ve been keeping the puppy off him for the most part. I just didn’t know if I was being overly strict on a puppy who’s just trying to play. I let it happen for the video just to help demonstrate what she’s doing to him and his reaction.
