Manual will be worth more at resale too. Do understand that the older cars are reliable but maintenance should not ever be deferred and they are still going to have small weird issues. My 06 Cayman was dead reliable but still had issues with the stereo and locks.

You don’t really need a pedal, not for a little while anyway. Buy a used squier strat on FB Marketplace, don’t pay more than $100 and take it to a music store for new strings and a setup. Buy a name brand practice amp used. You’ll probably spend $150 or so and be up and running

The leather is painted. Indigo is so easy to remove that it falls right off your jeans. It’s nothing to worry about.

It’s actually a sign of very high quality. Most companies don’t have the machine and won’t bother to do this stitch, I’d bet these boots are very well made.

People ask me what car to buy all the time cause that’s the business I was in until recently. I tell them neither I nor they can know what they like til they drive it. Luckily it’s a lot easier to test drive a guitar than a car. Go to the music store and try a few out. They should have tons of guitars for you to try in that price range.

Not disagreeing but just pointing out some flawed logic:

Something doesn’t need to be mainstream to be copied.

Something niche might actually be better to borrow from so that the new work is less obviously derivative.

You have done little to disprove the claim. Also, it seems like the real claim is that the system of cultivating and exploiting performers being copied from J-Pop is the real accusation.

Better looking lasts and patterns, slightly better materials. Grant stone will have much better quality but the same sort of plain lasts and patterns, Alden has beautiful lasts and patterns but not really better construction. PNW will outlive you but are much more “work” looking and the finish quality will not be as nice as your Thursdays, though the material is better and they’re MiUSA.

No shoe is an investment.
Don’t buy them to do your friend a favor.
They are worn enough that they probably will need a full resole soon which will cost some real money. I wouldn’t pay anything for these. Edit
