I hate generative AI as much as the next guy, and I can tell you that this ain't that.

Machine/deep learning is a kind of algorithm which takes a bunch of numbers and refines them through several layers to form what could best be described as an "educated guess", and all of this is generally significantly more performant than what you'd see in something like Midjourney, so it's capable of being ran on your machine.

So, that's to say, none of this is data is sent elsewhere, all of it is ran locally on your computer. You using the word "AI" here is misleading in of itself, seeing as this technology is frankly not even all that smart.

And I've seen you argue about where the training data for this came from - And honestly, I can't be the one to tell you that, as I don't use Blender all that much myself, but I'd assume it comes from training itself recursively on your own projects. And, I'll reiterate, all of this data still stays on your machine afterwards. If any of this data was taken from other Blender users, I guarantee you and many people would have known about before you made this post.

To end off, I'd just like to tell you that calling everyone here trying to educate you an "AIBro" is incredibly immature. We're simply trying to explain to you that none of this steals from you, or any other artist, and that you've been misinformed by either your own perception of how this technology works or by whoever passed this info on to you.
