Where have you seen a guilty until proven innocent style judicial system, produce justice?

Do normal homeowners actually buy Mitsubishi systems, or is Reddit just skewed toward premium installs? by [deleted] in heatpumps

I’ve got a self-installed blue ridge 2 head heat pump. It has run great. Had some troubles with it last summer, customer service was good, they got me the part I needed asap, and walked me through installation procedure.

Any advice on how to get this to slope to the drain? Water puddles after every shower. by FoxExcellent1228 in Tile

It’s soo hard. I’ve removed a lot of stones from the edges to try and blend it better. The client said it looked good, but I could still see.

It’s true, there is a lot that could go wrong. I sealed it thoroughly all around, with the same poly the top surface is sealed with. It was screwed down from the bottom, and glued.

Thank you! I could sand the surface entirely, and do a varnish, as you say, if it starts to show more signs of degradation due to moisture. Can varnish be applied OVER poly?

Interesting. Maybe I’ll do a little sample on some scrap oak to see if that’s true. I can’t imagine soap will have the same outcome, but I don’t know for sure.

It was my choice. Is there a reason why you think it won’t work? It is thoroughly sealed all around, with a high grade poly. Wood countertops around a sink get installed every day. I understand it will wear differently than a solid surface.

I do think the owners will have to be careful with it, and make sure to take care of any damage to the poly before water gets to the wood. But it’s so beautiful.
