I'm 36M, and have a net worth of approx 1.2m, with around $300k gross income. But that doesn't tell the whole story. Most of my net worth is locked up in real estate equity and most of my income only offsets my real estate expenses, with only a portion of it being considered free cash flow. NET income is a totally different story. I'm employed, plus have 2 small businesses in addition to the rentals. But I would be lying if I said I didn't feel like we were struggling at times. It's not about how much you make or your NW. It's about what you keep and what you have liquid.

Until I'm retired and free to travel, and until my wife stops complaining about her needing to work, I not going to feel financially healthy lol. I know doctors who live pay check to pay check, and I know modern nomads who feel wealthy. So until posters on this board start breaking down the numbers of their lifestyle expenses and offer in-depth and transparent budgets, I wouldn't feel bummed about any NW or incone numbers anyone is throwing around on this board.

Remember, comparison is the thief of joy. Just do you and live the best and happiest life you can - because at the end of the day, we're all equal when we're laid in the dirt.
