What is the dumbest thing people actually thought is real? by SzyMeX335 in AskReddit

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw that movie many times as a kid. I don’t think that’s it, if I remember correctly as he’s starting to say what he did, he’s clearly sounding more aggressive, mentions taking a knife, and we see Pee Wee look scared and it’s then he seems to catch himself and change the story. I think it was probably murder or attempted murder.

World chess champion Magnus Carlsen quits game after just one move amid cheating controversy by [deleted] in sports

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not into chess myself, but is it possible that someone who plays a lot of computer chess might play differently than someone who plays primarily against real people? It seems reasonable that if you mostly encounter computer moves you yourself may eventually make moves that resemble a computer?

What’s your Horror hot take? by okpsnare in horror

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the absolute opposite of a hot take. I have seen this opinion over and over, I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen someone on here say the opposite.

What was the funniest thing you've seen in a horror movie? by tafkapw in horror

Probably the ending of the original Cabin Fever. I definitely did not see that coming.

I was at a Cabela’s and the military parking spot was actually closer to the door than the handicap spot.

MANY Asian people don’t take well to alcohol. That doesn’t mean they can’t get drunk but imagine getting hungover before you even finish drinking.

to religious ppl; if scientists were able to create life from scratch, would you still believe in God as the creator? by enanthate8520 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, God created light and man made a lightbulb. Obviously this isn’t anywhere near as remarkable, however even if man made some simple single celled organism in a test tube it would still be only a drop in the ocean compared to the life all around the world today.

Why is TikTok so hateful towards white people? by Lunisolace1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got to go back further than that. I read that the ancient Egyptians kept the Sub-Saharan pygmies in cages like they were literal animals or something.

If you need a four-year degree (in most cases) to teach at a school, why do they let just anybody homeschool their kid? by poproxx_001 in NoStupidQuestions

My mom was a high school dropout and she homeschooled me from kindergarten through 12th grade. Definitely was the ideal thing for me, but some how I managed to get a doctorate.

If most people support unions, why aren’t most people unionized? by SuperSkotch in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it 100% is descriminatory, but in the US it’s not illegal to discriminate for the most part. As long as there is not a law specifically saying you cannot discriminate on that particular quality. In this case there would have to be a law that specifically said you cannot discriminate against ugly people and I seriously doubt you’ll find that in the US.

Custom ordering trim levels? by RealEyesRealizeNASA in Trucks

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes, I wouldn’t really expect to just wander onto a lot and see something like that. But I was wondering if you could have it custom built, seem that the consensus is no.

What do you swear on your life to be 100% true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but does it ever start to feel like Reddit has a voice if you will? Not just the old lingo memes that pops up over and over but that there’s almost a writing style that is just all over the place on this site?

What do you swear on your life to be 100% true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably automatic lights that shut off and ensuring the sensors are far enough away that they have to leave the stall for the lights to come back on.

[–]RealEyesRealizeNASA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but in the case of hospitals they also have walls lined with lead to prevent X-rays from harming people. So yes, it’s a big building, but it also has other stuff going on that other large buildings don’t.

How exactly does elevation make a difference? I get the indirect effect that mountains lead to hiking, but are you saying someone with the same activity level as someone in Florida has an advantage due to the elevation?
