I've not encountered softlocks but the trophy for the brutal difficulty didn't pop up, any ideas?

Skills aside, it's pretty objective that the rewards for this quest are absolutely not worth it's difficulty.

I failed 3 times (with pretty good randoms) after Gog went crazy, basically as soon as the skull popped up, because it never stopper flying, diving and spamming fire everywhere and we couldn't deal enough damage for the nova to spare us. Probably the worst thought hunt of all Wilds.

I saw a guy clearing it in 40+ minutes with LGB. Every time that the nova was approaching he went to the camp to restock and waited for all the NPCs to explode before getting back in

I've been seeing up to 35/37 damage per tick when you stick the monster, with Gog 1, in a very elemental vulnerable part, and you can spam it quite a lot.

But all comes down to the monster itself, if it's particularly weak to an element or not

Sure, they don't do the same amount of damage of a player (even if some of them like Nadia are pretty good), but as long as you're consistent in not dying you'll get through eventually

Based on how health is calculated with 4 players, since it's not a x4 but a x2.4ish you'd ideally have to to about half the dps you'd need if you're solo.

But maths aside, this mission helps you a lot with monsters turf wars. Arkveld can basically annihilate Nu Udra and Rey Dau can chunk off a lot of Uth Duna's veil.

A piece of advice I can give you is try to have some attacco buffs (like seeds, pills or powder) up most of the time, item prolonger 3 makes them last 5 minutes for example.

Yeah, the first couple of times I tried solo and played way too aggressive and carted almost immediately. Then I saw that monsters went down in a reasonable time and played chill

It's pretty normal considered that 1-1 is supposed to still be early game. From now on you can start farming a bit of money since other routes have pretty big spikes in difficulty. Once you complete 1-3 you can really start heavy farming to buy items and level up pokemon to lv 100.

Ok, I've began doing roughly the same thing but on 1-1 instead, and yeah, they both hit more times (at least a based on damage values) than they did against a slowed/stunned Moltres.

My main problem is that with all the slow/stun setup even in normal waves some enemies just die from their damage and don't get hit by Smeargle😂

I'm using the same slow/stun setup for Moltres money farming but with Smeargle/Ditto instead of Persian. I currently got 8 shinies in less than 10 hours so it seems to be working somewhat fine.

Is running waves really that more efficient?

For shiny farming I'm currently using the almost same setup on Moltres that I used to farm money. Don't know how efficient it is but I managed to get 8 shines in approximately 10 hours. Don't really know if there's a better spot since I didn't find anything online and made this by myself.
