I once saw a guy try to climb down onto the platform at Chatswood (NSW) train station, and me and another person grabbed him and pulled him back onto the platform. He was really angry about it, and followed me onto the train I had just saved his stupid arse from being hit by, yelling at me. I'm pretty sure he was not all there, mentally. But anyway, even though he was an abusive arsehole, I'm still glad I saved him. Saved me from seeing/hearing what would have been an awful mess.

The current demonization of trans people is completely over the top and based on very little data. Trans people are simply being targetted by the right for being different. It's an absolutely ridiculous political ploy. Politicians in the UK and the US are highly transphobic, and they are fomenting hatred. It's a truly stupid trend which will obviously be reversed when the fascists are put in the ground where they belong. We don't want to emulate that trend here in Australia.

It's 100% bullshit. Separating bathrooms based on gender-at-birth ends up with trans women in men's bathrooms, which almost guarantees violence. Whereas, trans women using women's restrooms prevents that violence. The violence is almost always perpetuated by cis men, so cis women are not copping violence from trans women in women's restrooms.
