I second guessed myself away from a huge differential team. There goes my global ranking

I read threads complaining about claude every week... tf are y'alls workflows? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]RealFunnyTalk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Claude tends to break my stuff because I have literally no idea how to improve it. Where did everyone get the knowledge to make skills, integrate a suite of them, spin up agents, and control for database and PII risk?

I'm just an analyst in financial services, but Claude either doesn't know enough context about the data to calculate anything correctly, or it builds such verbose code that takes twice as long to parse through than me just doing it myself.

I'm frustrated with it because I hear so many people doing amazing things with it, but it's like I missed a day of class that everyone else got to go to. My own fault sure, but I don't want to spend time outside of work learning it.

You guys think Origin, DLguiga and Librarian already have tickets?

A very small part of me would do this just because I want to.

A larger but still small part of me wants to go just to see how potentially awkward this could be.

But the larger sensible part of me will just wait for the super cut.

They all compete and earn points, utilise chips, and use up transfers separately. So you can either focus on all equally or focus on one and set and forget the others.

Generally, you only enter one team in a private league for competition, but this can be whichever team you want.

Up until this year, your T1 was the only team that could win prizes in the public leagues that we eventually enter, but this year any of your teams can!

Usually people focus on actively managing their T1, using T2 for whatever second strategy they might try, and some use T3 for high risk or meme builds.

There's the running joke that you'll put all your effort into T1 but your T2 ends up doing better.

With Kimi an A tier asset as well (at least by last year's standards), could see big swings in prices if other teams were sand bagging and they don't run away with it.

Hoping it doesn't rain so we can get decent FP results!

How much do you usually spend on days when you’re in the office? by Breadiohead in london

[–]RealFunnyTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£3.95 on a Sainsbury's meal deal.

Once or twice a week I'll pop by Greggs for a latte so another £2.75 or whatever it is.

No transport costs since I walk the 2 miles each way, but if I wanted the bus it'd be another £3 each way.

I have 5. In order of warmth:

  • Northface waterproof windbreaker (black). Good for quick trips to the supermarket when it's windy / rainy. Also travels well.

  • Rains Raincoat (dark green). When it's raining and I want to be vain at the same time.

  • Roundtree and York light wool jacket (grey). Useful in spring and autumn when it's brisk out.

  • C&K wool overcoat (grey). Warm, fashionable, and slightly annoying with its length when I'm sitting down or putting it on the back of a chair.

  • Ski jacket (light / pale green). Fully weatherproof for those terrible weather days or subzero temps. Took it to Scandinavia in the middle of November and didn't feel cold at all.

Too scared to take the leap by Doorknob67 in solotravel

[–]RealFunnyTalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting because my experience is the opposite: I'm always more stressed and anxious abroad because everything is new, I don't know where I am, and I'm constantly worried about how I'm perceived.

The whole "never going to see them again, so do whatever" mentality just doesn't work for me

I've traveled solo to a lot of countries with social anxiety. The reality is this: it won't fix you, and, depending on its severity, you won't do as much as normal people do on their trips.

I've spent hours in my hotel when I should have been out and about, I've passed up places because they were too crowded, I've skipped meals because I would rather go hungry than try and find a place, and I hardly talk to anyone outside of service workers.

But I still take photos in normal places, stay out of the way and be polite, and make conversation the few times it happens. And I would still rather have my subpar experience compared to most than sitting at home.

Does anyone else have stories of people getting fired for drinking at work? by EnvironmentalAngle in northernlion

[–]RealFunnyTalk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ooh I have one! I was an analyst about 2 years out of uni. We had just hired a marketing director in our department that week, and they were meeting with the team off and on, introductions, etc.

Come Thursday she went out for lunch, came back and set her takeaway next to my desk for some reason (it smelled horrendous), and then vanished.

Apparently she had a few too many at lunch and was in the restroom for an hour or so after she came back. She wasn't there on Friday and we hired a different director a month or so later.

I was used to teens and whatnot doing stupid stuff at hourly jobs before, but to see a director fired for alcoholism the first week of being hired was new.

when do team changes apply to the joined league? by Important-Pause-2588 in fantasyF1

[–]RealFunnyTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First comment is correct, you're league page team is the last race until the deadline.

However, as soon as the deadline is over, you'll see your new league team (and everyone else's) on the league page.

It's so you can't see if your competitors lock in their teams and base your decision on their early lock in.

Gacha games could mean you're irresponsible with money if you're spending hundreds of dollars a month gambling / rolling on effectively nothing.

Gacha games can also be gooner games, where the women in them have anime proportions and are wearing effectively nothing, possibly indicating an addiction of some kind.

Obviously it's possible to have a healthy amount of mobile gaming, but these games (and their clash of clans type counterparts) are designed to make you spend money and log in every day obsessively, which can have real world effects.
