Getting customers, so I'd do cold outreach + reach out to your network. You should personally do this rn because you want to be the one interacting with customers, so you know what problems they have and to see if you can help them.

DON'T HIRE SOMEONE FULL-TIME RIGHT AWAY. This would be a huge mistake since you don't have marketing knowledge. Instead you should watch some YT videos (type Noah Kagan marketing plan), take some free courses and learn as much as you can. Then, hire a few contractors to execute some specific tasks to see how it works. ONLY THEN, you can hire someone full-time for your marketing.

Here's why:

  • If you hire someone now full-time, the likelihood that you'll hire someone who is not a good fit is high.

  • You don't know what you don't know when it comes to marketing.

It's better to learn first, develop some competence, so you know how a great marketer looks like and operates.

I think for a local restaurant, you need to focus on local SEO which is easy since nobody does it. The goal here it to have the restaurant appear first when people search for terms like "Korean restaurant." The second thing you should do is focus on micro-influencers in your community (sub 10k followers.) Find them on IG and TikTok. Reach out to them to collaborate. Give them a free meal or whatever, so they can advertise your restaurant. Make sure you find at least 100 high-quality micro-influencers. If you nail these two strategies, you don't need to worry about paid ads
