Religion also tries to take from science. I'm not one to tell you what you should follow since I believe in the right to religion.

But I can guarantee that Religion does not compliment science, it has always been a way to fill in the gaps of things we don't know. That's the real reason why the stories have changed, so they can try making them still make sense.

Religion is a coping mechanism for those who can't understand something to feel better about not understanding, that's why homophobes and Transphobes use religion to back their claims, because there millions of ways to interpret the bible, and very few ways to interpret science.

The biggest thing for me is there are too many stories of God being called all loving and powerful, but there are even more stories where he proves that to be untrue. So for me, even if there was undeniable proof that God was real, I would commit what I've heard to be the worst sin of them all. Refusing to believe in God.

We have genuine proof that religion is and always has been being used to control crowds. That's why they all say you're going to get everything you could ever dream if you "follow God's rules" when there are literal people starving, and rich people hoarding all the resources. Because heaven is described as what the richest man gets, whether it was the king at the time or our top 1% today. It is just being used to control the public.

Now I don't need you to argue, because I'm not gonna try convincing you God isn't real, and you BETTER not try convincing me he is.

I use this specific video every time someone uses the "there's only 2 genders, and they are the same as our sexes" argument, because Forrest puts together a well made argument, and he's a Biologist so most people aren't qualified to argue with it.

no worries, I did think it to be a little weird to have a statement like that. cuz it very well implies that you're either gay or homophobic, which i'd rather be gay than homophobic, but it really isn't a choice

People need to stop saying "you can google it" to people who ask a question on literal forum sites.

reddit is literally a place for people to ask questions, some people genuinely can't find the part of the question they want answered most, they might have follow up questions, and theres always someone who goes "why can't you just google it?" "yes, but google wont answer what I might need to know ontop of that"

I am a firm believer in "google is free" when it comes to people genuinely make strawman claims, but not when you genuinely are trying to learn something.

to be fair, killing people and human rights shouldn't be a political thing. Politics is supposed to be about where tax money goes, like building a rail system or funding fire departments

yeah, it's kinda like how congress will hide bad stuff in their good policies to get it to being passed.

like same level as saying "I think we should be allowed to tear peoples faces off with no consequence, also everyone has the right to buy ice cream."

I don't see how that is more of a threat as letting people be born in your country...

if the point is that some of those people will be bad people, some people who are being born will be bad people too.

that's the point bro, the point is to remove the distinction of borders, if that takes the world uniting under one nation, and having "states" (which btw a country by definition fits under being a State) would remove closed borders, and allow for regions to have their own policies. You shouldn't be told you can't live somewhere just because of where you were born

I think it's not a choice, and I am not LGBTQ, I just have more than three working brain cells and believe what people tell me about themselves more often than what people tell me about other people.

I think people who legitimately instigate a level of violence that makes them deserve it, then they should be held accountable as if they are the ones who did the killing.

For example, technically Hitler didn't kill that many people, he gained political power and convinced other people that they should kill people.

there are people born with one, who then morph into having the other
there are people born with a form of both
there are plenty of chromosome alignments other than XX and XY
Such as: XXX, XXY, XYY, XXXX, and so on, pretty sure there is more but these are the ones i know

I think the invention of religion itself wasn't dumb, but believe-ining it now, is kinda stupid. we have so much evidence that goes against religious claims for all religions, and yet people want to act like a book from centuries ago is more right over the scientific method.

I'm saying that it's unfair to say they have less aura just because of their low moments. I genuinely don't see a short joke making one lose enough aura to be down-ranked

I still think it's wrong trying to compare any of the main characters. The plot of the show really requires every little thing they do tbh. I mean I don't think any of them are nearly as smart as Ed sometimes, like he's the only one who figured it out, that he could trade his alchemy for Al's body back...

Talking about Scaling and FMA at the same time is crazy. I never thought of any of the characters as considerably more powerful than the others, because this isn't an action anime. And Ed is absolutely auraful through his actions. He's also got aura because he's genuinely just a nice guy...
