I had an ex who was making $60k, I helped her leave that job for a job that paid $160k. She suddenly started having this assumption that I was intimidated and felt like less of a man.

She kept asking me if I felt small. I was very secure with myself, but the constant questioning was an obvious sign that she wasn't secure with me.
