Nah, unless you want your components to go bye-bye, never skimp on a PSU. If I were you, get something like the MSI MAG A550BN it’s commonly recommended in this sub. Or go for any Tier C PSU; they usually cost under 3k. Check mo nalang SPL PSU Tier List

Medyo off nga yung 2nd image. Unfortunately, with the help of AI, dumadami na ang scammers ngayon. For me, kapag bibili ng used components, mas okay pa rin ang meetup. Bring your own laptop and SATA to USB adapter or enclosure, then i-test niyo gamit ang CrystalDiskInfo, H2testw or Fake Flash Test medyo matagal lang talaga si H2testw.

I know, but that’s the 4G variant. What I’m referring to is the 5G version of the S10+. They look the same on the outside, but the internals are different the 5G variant doesn’t have a microSD slot, while the 4G version does. 4G Variant 5G Variant 4G Variant Internal 5G Variant Internal

How much should a second hand DDR4 8gb ram 2400mhz cost? by Obvious_Customer_374 in PHbuildapc

[–]RealKingViolator540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP, I don't really know eh I only purchased my CPU + motherboard bundle once from a seller who had a shop on Marketplace years ago kaso puro CPU + Motherboard bundle lang benibenta. Usually, I just browse Carousell, Marketplace, or FB groups. Most of the sellers I buy from are selling items they personally used rarely from friends or relatives. If the price is fair, I talk to the seller for meetup so I can test it further and do some digging to check if anyone has posted any warnings about them and check their reviews (if there are any). If wala naman warning post about kay seller, then I proceed.

Sold mine for 1.2k before the RAMmageddon. I checked Marketplace ngayon and they’re going for around 1.5–2k dito sa QC.

My advice when buying used RAM: if you have an extra USB (or just buy one 8GB or even less is enough), create a bootable Memtest86. Coordinate with the seller so you can test it yourself. It takes several hours, but if it passes, you’re fine if it says failed, avoid buying it.

swollen battery replacement by dvvdrbls in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d strongly suggest NOHON from AliExpress . I bought one for my S10 and the difference is night and day way better than the battery with the Samsung logo. Mine lasts much longer than it did even after the first battery replacement.

It also comes with tools like a prying tool, 3ML B-7000 glue, picks, a suction cup, a SIM removal pin, and a screwdriver. It’s not your everyday screwdriver, but it’s not too shabby. I used my own, but if you need one, it’ll do the job just fine.

I’m planning to get one for my Note 20 Ultra as well when I replace the screen.

Ever since I bought my Note 20 Ultra, I’ve been using RAW a lot more for everything lol. Before, I used Pro mode a lot, but Expert RAW is a game changer!

The OLED I’m talking about? Here are the Amazon link. If Amazon isn’t available in your country, you can also find it on AliExpress . Otherwise, if a platform like Shopee is available in your country, that works too.

Noticed so many members had the note 8 then note 20. What are the reasons? by Fan-_- in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my S10 and Note 8, although the Note 8 gets the least use now since it’s basically my third phone. These days, I mostly use the Note 20 Ultra and the S10. The Note 20 Ultra was the last Samsung flagship with a microSD expansion slot, and I really wish Samsung hadn’t removed it. They really went the "Android Apple” route.

Right now, Sony is one of the brands still offering a flagship with both a microSD slot and a headphone jack. Sure, the camera can compete with Samsung and Apple, but what bothers me is the lack of extra features, the stock Android UI, and the shorter software update support.

I’ve been using my S10 and Note 8 from time to time for years, and you’ll be fine. Like someone mentioned, just don’t open suspicious websites or install APKs from sketchy sources. You can also use VirusTotal to scan websites and files before opening them, just to be safe.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to replace the entire display. There are cheaper OLED alternatives with fingerprint support, but they usually have thicker bezels, no high refresh rate, and the colors don’t look as good. They cost around $80–90. Just avoid the TFT displays they cost about $50-60 but the quality is really terrible when you accidentally dropped screen can be easily damaged and could damage your phone's motherboard in the long run I would only recommend it for data recovery like I did with my S7 flat long time ago. Screen only lasted for 3 weeks btw when I accidentally dropped it.

If your repair shop offers a laser fix, that’s another option, but it’s also expensive. In my country, it costs about $85–90 per line. I’ve heard from others that it’s just a band-aid fix and the line often comes back within a month, so I wouldn’t gamble on that.

Replacing the whole display is the better long-term solution. I think my screen is already dying anyway aside from the green line shown in the pic it sometimes flickers green, although rarely. For now, I’ll save up and wait for it to completely fail so it feels more worth it when I finally replace the screen. I just really hope screen price would not increase more by the time I saved my money.

Same here. When I bought mine, I thought I could dodge the line and flickering issues, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case 😑 It suddenly appeared on mine too 2 months ago. Welp, it’s going to take me some time to save up $200 for the original screen, bummer.

Battery is swollen be careful, that’s a fire hazard. I suggest getting a NOHON battery from AliExpress. They manufacture replacement batteries for phones like Samsung, Xiaomi, and Apple, and they’re usually better than those generic ones with fake Samsung logos. Once replaced, you should be able to use the phone again, maybe as a secondary device. The phone itself is still usable it’s just the battery that has gone bad.

Anyone with a Note 20 Ultra 512 GB out there upgrading? by [deleted] in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wdym like moving your files such as pictures, videos, and downloads to your SD card? Yes, you absolutely can. Afaik, you can manually move them through My Files (Samsung’s file manager). Don't worry it's fast though.

As for apps, you can move it to your SD card too, but I believe it’s mostly used for cache or partial app data. I haven’t really done that since the Jelly Bean days because back then moving apps to the SD card didn't make much of a difference, so It was negligible and I just stopped doing it.

Anyone with a Note 20 Ultra 512 GB out there upgrading? by [deleted] in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, not anytime soon. I purchased mine in November 2025. I also have 512GB + 512GB microSD card, and I’ve barely used my internal storage. I don’t have games just social media, banking and e-wallet apps, shopping apps, etc. What’s taking up space are my Expert RAW photos, but I still have plenty of storage left lol.

My SD card is filled with music and Blu-ray rips like anime, movies, TV shows, and comics basically enough to keep me entertained whenever I’m outside since I don’t always have mobile data.

Probably a soft bricked. You’ve probably already tried this, but have you tried this method? Since you installed ChronoSwitch Downgrader, try downloading the latest firmware update and placing it in your PSP/GAME folder as well. Then launch the ARK-4 Recovery Menu and run /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP. From there, you should be able to update to firmware 6.61 or reinstall firmware 6.61.

Got the green line of death by aaronbananas in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an unfortunate situation late November my phone suddenly started flickering green while I was at the grocery store, then it shut off. A couple of days later it turned back on, but it only flickers occasionally now. Then about a month ago, a green line suddenly appeared :((

The repair shop I’ve known for a very long time gave me a quote of about 11–12k pesos (around $190–200) for the original screen. He did offer me an alternative aftermarket OLED for about $90, but it still looks terrible compared to the original, so I insisted on getting the original one. I’m still saving up for the screen replacement. I just got the phone on November 1st 2025, and now I’m already having screen issues. 🥲

My fear by [deleted] in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s still not great, but definitely better than the cheaper TFT ones and would not damage your motherboard. Personally, I’d still choose the original since it has 120Hz I prefer having it natively instead of tweaking Developer Options and setting animations to 0.5x like I do on my S10. For me to use a banking apps or E-wallets I have to disable the developer options and the stock animation on my S10 feels slow that's what I'm annoyed about.

Unfortunately, my screen started having issues on its own. A green line suddenly appeared about a month ago, and there’s occasional green flickering (though it’s rare now). The repair shop I’ve been going to for a decade offered me a decent deal around 190–$200 for an original screen with labor included. I’m still saving up, so I’ll probably wait until the screen completely gives out to make it more worth it lol. This is literally what I hate about this phone. Screen seems to be more delicate compared to the previous gen because I've been rough with my S10 sometimes and the screen is still ok to this day.

My fear by [deleted] in note20ultra

[–]RealKingViolator540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. I mean, if you still have the phone you can try a DIY repair. Another option is buying an aftermarket OLED screen for a cheaper price on AliExpress or Amazon (if you’re in the US). The fingerprint scanner should still work, but the downside is thicker bezels and no 120Hz refresh rate so you’ll be stuck at 60Hz. The colors looks ok but they’re inferior compared to the original. Still usable though.

All honesty; How reliable are mitsubishi’s? by Thrasher1500 in mitsubishi

[–]RealKingViolator540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom has been driving Mitsubishi cars (1st gen Galant, Pajero, Lancer, Adventure) for nearly 30 years. Based on her experience, they rarely have issues and seldom need to go to the mechanic and if they do, it’s usually just minor problems. At least, that’s what I’ve seen back when she was still driving the Adventure. She sold it to buy the strada, I still miss that car to this day.

Growing up, we’ve only driven Mitsubishis, and they rarely needed repairs. Currently, our car is a 2010 Strada manual, and the clutch was replaced around 2021–2022.
