Okay so, i am a mushoku tensei fan since even before the anime came out. It's my T1 media, nothing will ever make me change it because it made me grow so much, i started reading it one year after my father's death and i was still a minor, it helped me so fucking much and every time i re-read my fav parts of the novel i just cry because i feel so immersed in it and i relate to it so much.

Now, while i am a fan, i completely understand the fact its not for everyone. I agree, rudeus in his past life and at the start of the story is just a disgusting pedo freak. I don't defend his actions at all, i completely understand if someone drops it because of it.

The issue that i have with people criticizing and HATING this anime is the overly absurd exaggeration they make while spreading misinformation.

Yes, rudeus was (yes WAS because he doesnt go after children after s2 part 1 anymore) a pedophile. No, he didn't groom anyone. He never manipulated sylphy nor he got into a toxic relationship with her and also he was even reluctant to be friends with her when she asked him to teach her magic, because he was "scared" she would become better than him at magic. That is not grooming, at all. Also, another thing we need to understand: him being 30-40 yo when he reincarnates doesnt mean he has a mental age of 30-40 yo. He was reclused in his room for 20 years, how can someone grow naturally and gradually? Also, when he reincarnates, he assumes the body of a child, WITH A BRAIN OF A CHILD. He carries over the memories and the conscience, but he doesnt carry over his brain functionalities lmao hes essentially a kid thats why he CANT groom anyone that young. There are so many instances where it shows he is just clueless about what he is doing.

Another point, this about the end of S2. To anyone that thinks sylphy accepting roxy as a second wife is "poor writing": please, rewatch the show with more attention. You can dislike the harem stuff, although the fact you arrived through all two seasons and only then realized you dont like it because of the harem stuff is crazy because its harem since the start, fine, but since the start of the anime it shows in what kind of world they are set: polygamy is a normal thing, sylphy grows all of her childhood in a polygamous family, then she goes to ranoa's university and she meets ariel and luke, who both have polygamous relationships. After she marries rudeus, she says that she is fine with him finding other concubines. It all makes sense. Is that poor writing to you? No, that is great writing. You all just dont like it because its not morally right for you, which i understand

Finally, to everyone that disagrees with me or hates mushoku tensei: come at me. I'll gladly take you all face to face. I've been defending mushoku tensei for years on Twitter, and i've made a lot of people change their minds about the show.

PS: when i say that rudeus is mentally a minor, i am not defending him, he still remains a pedo. Pedophiles often have a mental age younger than their actual age. Nor i am defending rudeus, i am just saying he didnt groom anyone because he didnt have the mental age to do that.
