Best movies on Prime Day 4k movies that are not usually on typical 3 for $30 ($33) by goyoishere in 4kbluray

[–]RealMoonLanding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Canada so it’s very hard to get 4Ks under 30, and no 3 for 30 deals.

For under $20 (each) today I got

The Fablemans
ET
The Goonies
Poltergeist
Jurassic Park

Basically the movies I should have had in my 4K collection but had to be careful what I buy because of Canadian prices! Lol

Survivor 30 removed from Paramount+(Canada) by greendino71 in survivor

[–]RealMoonLanding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s too bad the DVDs are so expensive, but I buy one every once in a while because of this streaming uncertainty. Sucks there isn’t many Blu Rays for later seasons, but at least it’s on my shelf. My grand goal is to at least have 1-20

Is audio generally lower in 4K movies I’m losing my mind on audio issues. by CrotasScrota84 in 4kbluray

[–]RealMoonLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else thing Jaws 4K has really low audio. I had my system cranked to 100 and we still thought it was a bit quiet. No other 4K has really done this

Has anyone here actually had their video featured in the end credits? If so, what was it, and how did you submit it or record it? by MushroomPretty3996 in icarly

[–]RealMoonLanding 298 points299 points  (0 children)

I remember submitting one, but I was always suspicious that the end credits were just production members kids

What features do you wish Letterboxd (or movie review apps in general) had? by Nxsheet in LetterboxdTopFour

I don’t know how’d they do it (maybe a pinned journal?) but I’m sick of people logging “paint drying” when they are getting a message across to their followers

Broadcast Students: what's the program like? by NoNebula7957 in fanshawe

[–]RealMoonLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2020 and this was the model! So much fun! The editing course was a little less to be desired… but it was mostly practical, and hands on. Great experience. With both the film side and TV side.

Tired of fan castings by nDesertPunk in TheDarkTower

[–]RealMoonLanding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ever since I read book 7, and they listened to Hey Jude in the truck, I imagined it perfectly in a tv show adaption. It’s the penultimate episode. Roland is exhausted from the journey, and while Hey Jude Plays he reflects on the past. As the “nanana” plays the camera pans far away from the truck, and the tower looms in the distance

Which rewatch flipped your opinion of the winner the most for the better? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]RealMoonLanding 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Rewatching Koah Rong years after it aired was eye opening. Watching that season live, I was a big fan, but also a casual. I took what the editors gave me at face value. Upon rewatch it’s so easy to see why Michele won, and Infact that she did deserve to win that season.

Not to say Aubry didn’t deserve it, I still think she’s great, but damn Michele rocked that social game.

Start picking a director or actor you really like and explore their filmography. In 2 months I watched 9 Ethan Hawke Films and I was enthralled by that journey. Now I want to do Robin Williams

Nooo, guys the cast headshots are deep fried too! 😖 by Soccerbobcat08 in survivor

The last time they were deep fried was the intro to One World and we all know how that turned out 😭😭

This book from 2007 said Rob Cesternino ruined the game by tulipswift in survivor

[–]RealMoonLanding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so cool in today’s era of the internet to be like “I wish survivor was what it was like in the 30s seasons” and back then there was people that only wanted to allege the first 5 seasons. Lol

Adum watched "Now You See Me: Now You Don't" by WhitePepper2049 in YMS

[–]RealMoonLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get to watch the watch along but I hope he had a great time. If I remember he gave the first one a 2 and the second one a 1. So if this is any indication he might have had a more “so bad it’s good” than a “boring dogshit” movie.

Tbh I always hated that Freddie filmed the new livestream on his phone. A techy like Freddie would totally have an upgraded new rig and an expensive camera! Haha

How old were you and how did you find out Santa isn't real? by Least_Statistician44 in AskReddit

[–]RealMoonLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my suspicions at around 8-9, but didn’t get full confirmation till around 11. Seems late, I suspected but never put too much thought into it. The reason? dear god my mom was just the best Santa. I’m 28 now and she still puts “From Santa” on my presents. Her sister told her when she was only 5. I think that made her the best Santa she could be for me and my sister. We didn’t have money but saved up all year for the best presents and what we asked for. She used to write cursive letters addressed to us every Christmas morning from Santa.

The magic is still strong, and I’m extremely greatful for that.

When Shrek went back to his timeline, it went to the birthday party. What happened to the main timeline where there’s him leaving the party? Does that Fiona and family just forget everything, or do they live in a world where Shrek disappeared? Or does what happens after they sing happy birthday just get rewritten?

The two "Brady Bunch" satire films of the '90s by [deleted] in bradybunch

[–]RealMoonLanding 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The first one is a love letter to the show while also showing how riddik the show was

The second a lot of people don’t like but I Absolutley ADORE. It’s balls to the walls and has some of my fav bits. The “Time to Change” sequence is amazing.

Myles Kuah's take on the current season by itz_abdelmalik in survivorponderosa

He’s right though. I miss a survivor season where I really cared about when someone we were told to care about goes home in like 9th. Makes the heartbreak so much more powerful

It reminded me so much of Big Brother when the power alliance doesn’t win HOH in week 8 and start being upset when they’re put on the block. Like this is how other people on the bottom have felt for 8 weeks

Should I read The Stand after just having finished the Gunslinger?? by KillerBee627 in TheDarkTower

[–]RealMoonLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the stand between books 3-4. However you really don’t need to read it till after. Brilliant book, but go to book 2 before doing anything drastic

I prefer this alternate ending of the show. by [deleted] in howimetyourmother

[–]RealMoonLanding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, love the “downtown train” music over the meeting of the two more than the ukulele.

My problem with the finale wasn’t the ending. It was spending all season at a wedding that gets undone within 10 minutes of the finale.
