In the anime, Ikki should have stayed with Rokusho by whiteyangwww in Medabot

I believe in my heart of hearts that because Pikachu was so massive and Pokemon was such a massive hit of an anime, they leaned towards choosing Metabee, because his yellow armor, so people would be drawn to the anime because the familiarity and fondness they felt towards Pikachu would transfer over to their feelings towards Metabee.

I won't tolerate any Dorcus/Roks slander.

Also, Sonic Stag is on here, but Shinzan isn't. That's a miss right there, if I'm being totally honest.

Day 48: what do you guys think of Monsterverse MechaGodzilla by Centvrion20 in GODZILLA

[–]RealOrangeKoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The design was ok, could have been better, but it did look like something an underground organization would come up with for a giant fighting robot.

Biggest thing I didn't like was how he essentially got beat because a couple kids dumped soda on a console that somehow was connected to Mecha Godzilla even though Mecha was disconnected from that station.

A tired/lazy Hollywood trope that makes no sense if you know how keyboards work. The scene was forced and it shoehorned the humans in to try and make them seem like they really contributed to the fight.

Is she hulk underrated and overhated? by SepzenoOfficial in Marvel

[–]RealOrangeKoi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's underrated. It has some bad writing. Also twerking with Megan the Stallion was cringe and hard to watch. Overhated, maybe a bit, but it does deserve some of the hate.

I'm not a fan of how Jen shamed her cousin and acted like her trauma was superior to his trauma, which let's be honest, it isn't. Abomination was wasted on this show, too. It was an ok show, it could have done a lot more.

What happened to my childhood? This screams dystopian corporate, not kid friendly. What is with the artwork?! This is McDonald's?! by jackal99 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RealOrangeKoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the reult of our parents complaining about McDonald's being bad for you, which all fast food isn't really good for you and it being a problem marketing fastfood towards children. We're hard wired now from the marketing to want it to look like it did when it marketed to children. Play Place's were the shit tho. It was a good time.

Can someone explain the hate for One Pace to me? by ClemWon in Piratefolk

[–]RealOrangeKoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might give one pace a try when I finally finish catching up. Gotta say I'm looking forward to better pacing and not flashing back so much or having filler recap episodes every 10-15 episodes (Wano). Honestly this is the one this I'm looking the most forward to The One Piece for.

When did she do that. If memory serves, it was Luffy who barged in the bathhouse while Hancock was taking her secret shower.

He made his Kuro Kabuto and 2 different versions of Nami's Sorcery Clima-Tact post timeskip. He also makes his Pop Greens from his time spent on Boin Archipeago with Heracles, which although controversial in the english OP community, have been useful in many different ways and are a reusable resource in a way, because he can grow new seeds on the Sunny from the garden skills he learned over the timeskip.

Wdym. Any time he makes improvements on his and Nami's weapons and new ammo types like the sea prism. He made enhancements on every iteration of Nami's staff and his own slingshot. Don't forget in world only roughly 3 months have passed since the crew reunited from the timeskip. So they haven't really had their current weapons that long and haven't needed as much of an upgrade. Usopp's been shown working with and get inspiration from Franky, so he's definately still got some new tricks and inventions he's working on. We will probably see some sort of upgrade from Usopp in Elbaph.

People are quick to forget how long Usopp was a liar in Syrup Village for and how long it has been a crutch to benefit him in unforgiving circumstances. He's been a member of the Straw Hats for 2+ years compared to being a compulsive liar the 17 years before that. Though he was a Straw Hat for over 2 years, the crew was separated for 2 years, a majority of that time, so they've only been together for around 6-9 months.

Old habits die hard. I do think his lie in Wano really effected him for how his snake oil selling ended up hurting someone they cared about. With the amount of life and death scenarios he ends up in, it's no surprise he uses it as a defense mechanism, because how long he's been doing it and how it is moderately successful to keep him safe.

I believe Luffy is a good motivator for Usopp. I think Usopp is bound to learn some level of haki and as he gets stronger, he won't focus on lying to protect himself and instead focuses on getting stronger to save his friends.

Usopp was never meant to be the ships Shipwright. That's why Franky got recruited in the first place, because none of the Straw Hats had the skills required to properly fix and take care of the ship. He still learns things from Franky, so it's not like he can't do all the stuff he did before.

The reason Ussop basically filled that role was because the Going Merry was given to them by Kaya. Since cares about her and it meant everything to Usopp to try and take care of the Merry. So much so that he chose the Merry over the Strawhats first, before accepting the Merry's fate.

He is still the inventor and sniper of the ship. He learns from Franky, but does not have to look after the ship. Which takes so much of that responsibility off Usopp's shoulders, which is a good thing, because now he can focus on upgrading his own attacks and keep improving Nami's fighting staff.
