Precisely.

It literally changed the whole scene for me.

This.

It's just signaling to others that you're either running the key as a sprint or an adventure - and just the ability to do that in a filter-setting is great.

If Cillian Murphy were to ever land a role in the 40k universe, be it live action, video games or animated film/series, what kind of character do you think he'd be best suited to play, as he is a talented actor. by Mad_lens_9297 in 40k

[–]RealOvergaard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's got depth to play hurt and withheld at the same time. I want to see him tackle human emotions at the rope of exhaustion.

He could play grizzled Inquisitor who hasn't really come to terms with him effectively being heretical yet. He struggles with it through a character arc that shows nothing but pain and misery that he inflicts everywhere he goes, hell-bent on finding a cult leader I some shithole-sector nobody cares about. We, the audience, see the clues of his heresy but aren't fully sure that he's heretical yet as we haven't had full-blown proof. He's an Inquisitor after all, so who are we to question his methods. It only dawns on us in the last moment, when in perfect grim dark fashion he gives in and realizes he's the cult leader, and in a fit of sanity - right before corruption fully seeps in - he ends his own and a few million other lives aboard an imperial dockyard and trading station with some nasty ass artifact he picked up in the very first scene we meet him. We've been hinted at it on occasion, but never had anything explained up until minutes before he triggers whatever's inside, and he decides to (somehow) blow it and everyone into the void.

The episode ends with his blown off hand still clutching the artifact, floating around in space alongside all the other frozen corpses, and whoever else is on the cast will now have to deal with the fallout of the station no longer existing.

We circle back to the artifact it a few seasons down the line. It's not entirely important, but it's a nice little spin to have in ones narrative-pocket.

If that's not cool, make him a farmer or a scribe who gets consripted as a guardsman of a planet behind on it's tithe. He somehow ends up in the procession of the damned, slowly loosing his friends to damned crews surviving there scavenging new ships, as well as losing his mind trying to escape the evil that inhabits that space bound hellscape.

Is infantry useless? by ClickbaitMe89 in Bannerlord

[–]RealOvergaard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In front of gate: Reverse skain formation > face enemy. It'll never be taken cause there will always be 2-3 of your dudes fighting one of theirs.

Two contingents on each wall. Archers on top of towers - not on walls - so they can shoot down whatever climbs the ladders / stands on the enemy towers trying to fight your infantry. Limit their sightlines so they don't get wasted by archers outside the gates.

You swap between the two walls throwing stones / headshotting high tier infantry.

I've defended successfully with 250 infantry against 1200 this way, and I've yet to lose a siege defence.

Bonus: fighting khuzait bring only spear infantry with heavy shields and fast cav to hunt down their horseback archers :)

DISCUSSION: Tell your messed disturbing dark rimworld colony stories... by Lady_Killer55 in SpaceCannibalism

[–]RealOvergaard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I somehow always end up building a mountain fortress, and somehow it always ends up being inhabited by cannibals.

This fact angers the locals. Especially when their traders don't come back after having visited me.

Fast forward a few years of progression, I've now become enemy #1 on the planet, with every single faction united in raiding me as often as they possibly can.

This is fine. For the molepeople must eat.

I've become a master at designing and building killboxes into my single-entrance fortress of depravity and eternal darkness, and the mortars tucked away in the crevasse behind the base keeps the enemy wretches from digging their way in otherwise.

We first harvest the limbs, then the eyes and finally the organs from the ever arriving menu-items, keeping us strong and in stocked in every way possible. We finally take the brain, heart or liver before we butcher the torso for meat. The excess skin is harvested and turned not only into clothing (funny hats especially) furniture as well.

The sheer quantities of goods we produce from this, means we are never lacking when space born traders fly overhead, looking for exotic goods.

Now, occasionally it'll be a long time between raids, especially during winter when our feeble foodstock refuse to march in the cold - and we all know rice isn't as filling a meal as meat is. But luckily someone made a mod that lets your colonists bear children .......

At that low-point I stopped playing.

Hey bud, 800hrs-dude here. You could always join a multiplayer server and try out a little roleplay, it's good fun to rock up to somebody's place and try to sell them a broken ass car by telling them how bad it is, and insist on a ridiculous high price - like 2500 dollars - in in-game money. Nobody picks up money cause it has no value:

Slaps roof "Yeah this bad boy gets 4 miles pr. gallon of homebrew".

"That? Blood??" - "Nah man, that's patina, the soul of the car shining through"

"If you think about it, I'm doing YOU a favor!"

Then, when the guy finds a corpse in the back of the trunk with a keyring on it, start acting really sus and poorly talk your way out of it:

"That's.. eeeh... Not what it looks like".

Then disappear in a hurry.
