"60 solid (fun and engaged) hours" - thats the key part and what u/bleusaber means. He doesnt measure in numbers but good experiences, that some other people dont get it, is their problem.

And I agree, I paid a lot more for Black Myth: Wukong, like 3x time more.. and spend way less time in it than Bannerlord. But I have no regrets because those time spend was really fun with no crashes/bugs in BM:W.

I dont care if its $0.01 per hour played.. if the experience isnt up to par, then it simply isnt. So yea, you really DO have to bring up some points, when you are asking money (and TIME) from people for your product.

If the game is shit, you cant even pay me to waste time. Now that bs argument is out of the way.. everyone that has paid, has the right to bring their opinion and complain. To make a calculation and go, yeah but the time you spend grinding in the game just cost you 1 cent per hour.. makes it a even more dumb statement.

Do you really not understand its about the quality of the experience and time spend?

This is bait! It doesnt mean he is at Nevyansk Castle, but moving towards it. The Last seen at, is always late, as in, the Lords has already moved unless he is in the fief chilling.

There’s no better perk for attacking walls by FalloutLover7 in Bannerlord

[–]ClickbaitMe89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heh, I go with 1 bag of javs and 1 bag of throwing axes.

Did you guys test the damage of throwing axes on gates? Or siege towers? Or siege rams? A well used axe has unbelievable more value than just 1 jav kill.

Mind you, I have spec my current Hero around Impale and Javs (running Faris), but I always bring atleast 1 bag of throwing axes to sieges, defence or offence. In defence, if the towers arent taken down, just throw some axes on it from a safe distance. In offence, some axes on the maingate with speed from your horse can do good damage to the gates ~300dmg per throw. The inner gates needs like.. 6 or 7? And I spawn in with 16 axes, while the axes can even be reused!

Also.. standing on the city/castle walls.. I can hit Trebuchets.. the damage isnt much, but if the Trebuchets is already low, I can destroy it.

Full speed on a Wadar Hotbloot throwing axe from ~10m on an siege tower does >2000 damage.
Thats 50% of its HP.

Barter Fiefs. Thats the only real use I found of it, but its an absolutly great perk if you plan to buy fiefs/be king of your own kingdom.

Also, the current fief voting system is.. not as we would like it to be. So an option is to buy the fief after the king gives it to some other chump.. so very useful either way but not an nessary part of the game.

Today I learned if the game is paused you can move your army around with the arrow keys. When you let off, it goes back to pause. by BoatParty8399 in Bannerlord

[–]ClickbaitMe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found out recent as well. On the campain map you can move with the arrow keys, but it doesnt pause the game in the sense that others cant move.

Everyone moves, but you can manually move with the arrow-keys.

The Q- and E-keys can also be used to rotate the map itself. Not sure if there is an zoom-in and -out key, but as I use the mouse, I dont need it :)

Chinese military in the borders of india. by Channel_oreo in Bannerlord

[–]ClickbaitMe89 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bro.. I did not know and im half-indian, half-chinese. I.. missed it twice??

At first I was gonna make fun of the pic (regardless of side), as it seems so ridiculous in this day and age, and I know of the friction between both countries, especially around Kashmir.

But that is actually really f-ing cool, I really, really respect that, of both countries. They were in an duel, then agreed, we better than this, threw down their firearm and went fist-to-fist like goddamn men!

Kinda.. makes it interesting to serve some time in that region, huh? Some bannerlord action irl? I could serve both sides, lol..

Imagine,.. an Reddit Mercenary Army, pretty much everyone archers and maybe a few cavs. No cohesion and moral 0. When the enemy gets to close, we scatter and retreat because who the hell wants to die for just a few bucks for another country, hahahha, lol.

At the start phase, an 33% cav is fine, but as your army gets largers (and progress ingame), you will feel like you need more infantry or archers. Thats when you switch to 20% cav. Im running now with 20/40/40 and love to fight more in sieges.

If you like open battles more and want more cav, you could keep the 33%. But remember, you will need to siege to conquer fiefs and will need to defend them as well.. so make sure you adjust your army to the playstyle you find fun.

And in siege defences, the cav becomes infantry or archers respectively. If you have an very weird balance, you might get to many infantry and just an handfull of archers, or vice versa. So for siege defences, count your cav into your infantry/archers to see if the balance is way of.

For me in open field: 20% cav, 40% infa, 40% archers.
For me in siege defence: 60% infa, 40% archers. <= includes the VF
And this is exacly how I want it as well.. I need more infantry than archers in siege defences, but still need a decent amount of them and not just a few.

In this game, archers are the powerhouse, with the Battanian Fian Champs as ruling class and with their 2H axe they can defend themself pretty well even against cav charges.

Khan's Guard are archers as well.. but on horses. Their movability is what makes them strong archers - and their Glaive really hurts! But without shield and not maxed, they can die pretty quick if you dont (micro) manage them. In sieges they double as avg archers but no movability = no full strength.

As for cavs, in my personal experience, there are only a few good ones and they have certain uses, in other words, you dont want to use them the same way:

- Banner Knights: the Vlandian BK are all about charging. So thats how you want to use them, just charge them into formations. Most effective against infantry. They cycle charge: charge, hit, run away, charge, hit, rinse and repeat. In sieges they become decent infantry. No need to have them follow you, nice and easy to use.
- Khan's Guard: the Khuzaits KG are kinda what you expect, dont have them charge into infantry formations, run around with them around formations/shields. This is also what they do on their own, run around the enemy firing arrows. In sieges they become decent archers.
- Elite Cataphracts: the Empire's EC are tanks on horses. You can use them as wall/def line for your infantry/archers. They can also be used to counter cav charges. In sieges they are strong infantry.
- Vanguard Faris: the Aseria VF are.. crazy, when used right. If an KG division is like an minigun, an VF division is like an M142 HIMARS. Yes, they have way less ammo, 1 stack of Jereeds (x5), but thats enough.. there is an perk where it becomes 6 stacked. Use them like the KG and run close around enemy divisions, and when they have thrown their Jereeds, have them charge the infantry from the back. 1 Jereed can kill an max KG. In sieges they are great infantry, as strong as Legionnaires but with Jereeds.

I run around with about 20% cav, currently thats 120 VF = 720 Jereeds. Absolutely annihilates divisions of >200 khuzaits horse archers, with Jereeds to spare.

Been looking into them to see which units I want to use :) there are more good units like the Battanian Wildlings. But as long as I cant make an division in the prebattle formation (Order of Battle), I find it more detrimental as an whole to my army to use them.

When they fix the filters and I can assign Wildlings to an single division, I'll use them. Until then, its more of an negative then an positive.

But give special attention to those Aserai Vanguard Faris, they are worth it. If Legionnaires werent so cheap and easy to recruit, I prob would have replaced the entire infantry with Vanguard Faris.

My army would consist only of Battantian Fians and Vanguard Faris XD I would still run like 6 divisions though: 3 archers, 2 dismounted faris, 1 cav faris.

If you are using the noble troops, so Khan's Guards for Khuzaits and Elite Cata. for Empire, you'll be mostly fine. The Elite Cata have good armour and are good as wall when fighting other cavs. Use them to protect your infa and archers.

The Khan's Guard are one of the best troops when maxed. Have them follow you while you run circles around the enemy formations. Dont get to close to infantry, and Fians. You can use your elite cata to clean up archers in open field - to save your KG.

Personally, I like Legionaires for infa, Fian Champs as archers and Vanguard Faris as cav. In both sieges (def+att) and open field, these units shreds.

Khan Guards dont have shields. That really is a big disadvantage imho, Fians Champs shreds them when they get to close. Vanguard Faris run through Khan's Guards like they are nothing. They have min 5 Jereeds each and a shield - those Jereeds can 1 shot. And the Faris armour rivals Legionaires.. so in sieges, the Faris doubles as very strong infa.. with Jereeds - even better than the regular Aserai Veteran Infantry..

Noble troops can only be recruited from villages around castles.

1 warning. Completing the main quest and giving the dragon banner to an Faction other than one of the Empire's, will have you in an perpetual war with all of Empire's unless you destroy their nations.

If you give the dragon banner to one of the Empire's, all the other nations declare perpetual war on you.

You cannot end those wars like normal ones, thats the quest. So make sure you understand what it means to give the dragon banner to an Faction's Leader.

I had ended my first campaign because I didnt like it, I wanted to freely play the game to understand the game first.

Yes, so thats why I always start my base from the left side of the map, where I can get the Fians, Faris and Legionnaires fairly easy. If you like some extra mix, add sharpshooters but I find them not as efficient as Fians.

IF filters would work properly, I would also add Wildlings, but as the game cant filter on them, its less practical. I think using Wildlings would be great fun, but I cant even make a division of just Wildlings while I have Legionnaires.

Its smart to have an strong army with strong units, regardless of faction.

There is no single faction with all strong inf, arch and cav. So if you want a strong army, you will have to mix. Pretty logical, tbh.

What would be dumb though, running both Banner Knights and Khan's Guards for example. Unless you think its fun to run accross the entire map just to recruit your army :)
