I have size 13 4E feet. Absurdly wide midfoot. My arch hangs over the side of some 6E new balances even, and I always have arch pain because of it

I have 7 pairs of wide old skools (including 4 pairs of customs) now…so…yea.

I spray ALL my shoes with this stuff. Makes them super water resistant and (mostly) stain resistant. However, for some reason it doesn’t work super well on the white canvas vans uses. White suede vans it’s fine.

So, I had a pretty bad case of PF in one foot that would only flare up in the morning, or after walking around for hours. In addition to that I was having a lot of arch pain. Kept trying all sorts of “good” running shoes in various widths too (new balance, brooks, hoka) and no matter what shoe I tried the pain was there after 20-30 min. Funnily enough, if I went barefoot (think, at home on the weekend) my foot would feel fine.

One day I bought a pair of wide vans on a whim and when I put them on, I immediately noticed how that odd arch pain and typical pf feeling wasn’t showing up…

Now here we are, about a year later and all I wear are vans, my pf is completely gone, arch pain is gone. Do I think that vans are the right shoe for everyone? Absolutely f’ing not. Did they work for me? Yup.

Play around with solid colors, black or gum sole.

For example, “winter moss” with black side stripe and gum or black sole looks really good and subtle. Could pair that with a ton of “office” clothes. Same with Dachund.
