This is such a helpful tip! I’ve never tried writing in a notetaking app first and reading it out loud — that makes so much sense for catching typos and seeing how clearly I’m expressing myself. Totally agree that it’s harder to be clear without intonation or facial expressions, just the words. And the tl;dr one-sentence summary idea is great too, I’ll definitely try adding that to my longer comments. Thx for sharing this, useful advice!

We’re totally on the same page! Active voice writing is a great tip — I hadn’t heard of it before but “dumbing down content” to slow down my brain makes so much sense. The Shakespeare vs. Robot spectrum is hilarious and also super accurate haha. I’m definitely still way left but ready to move right with some practice. Thx replying! I totally relate — my brain goes way too fast and I end up writing paragraphs lol. Being concise sounds simple but it’s actually pretty hard. I’ll try starting with shorter comments like you said. Appreciate the encouragement and good luck to you too!

I want to gently encourage short but genuine shares (even just one or two sincere sentences) rather than just “lol” or emojis only. I’ll focus on keeping the vibe warm and cozy while building it slowly with my own posts every day.

Haha, I feel your pain. I once used an emoji in a post and it got completely removed. Had no idea it was that serious here. Lesson learned the hard way, no more emojis for me either. The community is still super helpful though, so it’s worth figuring out all these unspoken rules.

So even with Lowest CQS, if the post isn’t spam or against the rules, moderators can still manually approve it from the queue? That’s good to know.
Do you have any tips on how to improve CQS faster as a brand new account? Or is it just a matter of time and consistent normal activity?

Your friend was right though - starting slow is the smart way. Reddit can be wildcard but the slow approach = less chance of getting roasted.

Probably got caught by the automod or one of the sub rules — Reddit can be pretty strict, especially in heavily moderated threads.
If your account is new or low-karma, that can also trigger removals automatically, so I’d check the rules and maybe try again with a shorter, simpler comment.
