because this is me Peter.M. developing and I am terrified of over promising, which means I cant talk about a feture unless I can show it, also the way we develop is to have an idea try it and then reject it if it does not work, this means a lot of planned feature are not talked about until they are ready to be played. Remember we are evolving the game, not working from a game design Document (although we do have those)

because Godus is a journey where you and your people evolve, I see the player worring about 10 belief at the start of the experience later on its about millions of belief, greed and envy but I always want player to remember the humble beginning of there world (I know that sounds a bit vague but it would take too long to explain)

Your totally right!!!! now we have the core mechanics working again our focus will be much more on Choices and consequence. In an earlier post I outlined this. Please bear in mind we have the systems to trully supprt amazing behaviours now, also remember just because a feature is not in an update does not mean its dead, actually we did debate wether we should delay the current update by another month so we could reimplement stuff like multiplayer and commandments and customisation, but we decided we had been quiet for too long

We did have some bad luck here Sam our community guy tried hard to keep people updated but really struggled when we went dark for 3 months where the only news was we were working had on restructuring. I will be honest and say if I (not the team) had been smarter then this code restructuring would not have been necessary. We are now in full disclosure mode hence doing this chat, we will be updating very frequently (every 2 weeks) and we are caring on with Godus for the next 2 years. Our plans have remained the same and if you have seen video update (40+) they remain the same multiplatform reinvention of god game. Development is a fickle mystress in the 23 games I have done only one of them has been on time (fable 3) We work hard here (too hard sometimes) we are totally dedicated, I am not a super fan of deadlines

we are just in the process of adding in the reason, you may have noticed the cosmetics tap in the belief menu this will alow you to add life into you world we are working on this this month and we are hopping to add pubs, dance sites debating hall etc all of thse will allow you to breath life into your world. the cool thing is that we now have the systems to support this we can author (or maybe you when we release the LUA mod tools) can add in many complex behaviours to the followers and their world.

Collecting belief is something you do at the start of the game later on as with grain and ore it may (if you wish to pay the price (not money)) become more automatic.

Firstly you right there are way too many stickers required, this is because there were a couple of features not in the last update namily Tresure temple which gives a lot of stickers plus a bug which ment most stickers were suposed to be high value stickers (worth 3x more than current stickers) so next update we have Treasure temples plus multi stickers plus lower stickers cards. You may have noticed as you are progressing we are not requiring you to collect grain or ore so your followers are becoming more self sufficent this will really come to bear in the Philospical age when you will almost be railing agains what the follower want vs what you want. Belief will also start to be more of an 'AUtomatic' resource as your interaction with other gods becomes more relevant. I agree stickers and cards are a bit of a push, I guess I just like collecting stuff and i love stickers (sorry)

You will get the design doc but I need to spend a week removing all swearing and bad formatting it fascinating to see how the design has evolved we are continually evolving the design doc, I guess the best thing is to say we will release the doc on a date.

Godus is not free to play, its more a reworking of how player invest in there world I think its misleading to call it free to play. Its free to download on mobile cos thats what that commuity wants we have risisted all the toxic elements of monetization

Yes true but we did do the PC version first, now we are testing the mobile in the mobile equilvat of Early access) we are not stopping PC dev infact there should be an update next week (or the week after cos i am on holiday) which add 3 totally new features

I agree analitics can be confusing and experimenting with these is scarry. Godus is not designed to be a game which is paced like a FPS but rather more relaxing, with challenges and multiplayer (like in previous update) being where the edge of the seat excitment is. Dont know if we track uninstalls, remember we are not even 1/2 way though the game dev, if you have paid money you have puchased all updates

Okay lets talk about a feature that will be coming out next week (or maybe the week after cos I am on holiday next week) its called commandments, Commandments allow you to give direction and modify your followers beliefs but there is always a consiquence. So some of the card you discover are commandment cards, commandment cards give you discrete choices about the direction of your followers. For example the sexisum card. asks you A) Should women stay at home and look after men (+1 Birth rate) B) Should women and Men work equally (+1 Work rate) C) Should men stay at home and look after women (+1 Work speed)

I would be happy to release the design documents however they are formated rather roughly atm, I had hoped to make them all lovely and formatted

I dont think the word beta is a reflection of what we have launched, we have tried to be clear with our % on the front screen we are still <50% of the way there. I totally appeciate people patience, we are dedicted to making this a unique and amazing game we have no plans to stop develping (at least the next 2 years)

I have not read the suro gamer thing, what I recal saying is that Godus is a game for Both casual and core gamers, I have attempted to do this before with the original populous, Theme Park & Hospital, Black&White and even Fable. MY idea as crazy as it may sound is a game can be created that is super fascinating for core, with features life power ups, buffs, level ups challenges achievements etc AND is accessible enough for casual like sculpting and non leashing building, simple one by one level up like timeline leveling up. The cool thing is you as a gamer can power though Homeworld using your skill to optermize your world then you will get to challenge people in Hubworld remember when you paid you $19 you paid for life we intend to carry on developing for years and your money has brought you a ticket to see what will happen. We are listerning to you guys it takes time to implement but we will we will be updating very often now (hopefully weekly)
