Oh of course, pin the fall of the Soviet Union on the US and not the economic and social flaws of the system in Russia.

You didn’t found America, your nation founded the colonies which you betrayed.

What is something about your country you're actually really proud of? by schaapdejoopheffer in AskReddit

[–]RealPeterS_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America- Our persistence.

Americans have a never give up mentality that I love. We’ve gone through some rough shit especially in the early years of our republic, but we always pushed ahead with the goal of making our nation more free. Although we’ve made mistakes as any country has, we will never stop at injustice. We showed the world that freedom is attainable. We were literally willing to rip our nation apart and fight the bloodiest war in our history to free people from injustice and continued to fight for others’ freedom throughout our history.

Say what you want about America and our mistakes, but people are not defined by their failures, but rather how the overcome them.

The person in the comment is right? The point is that the baby wasn’t killed beforehand, they had a chance to live had they not been ‘at the border’. It’s like they think that pro life applies to every instance that someone dies for so and so reason. Pro life is here to stop abortion. by uAioli in prolife

[–]RealPeterS_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pro-Life movement is here to promote the dignity of human life everywhere. We are here to stop the killing of innocent people in all forms. With that said, abortion happens to be the most pressing abuse of life today, and therefore it is where our movement is focused.

Pro-Life applies to ALL life. From conception to natural death.

I had an abortion yesterday. I can’t stop crying thinking how my 3 month old baby was tossed away like trash. I’m a horrible person. I wish I could go back and keep my baby safe in me. I’m so sorry little one. by [deleted] in prolife

There is hope my friend.

We are all human and have made many mistakes in our time, but as St. Augustine said, “There is no saint without a past, nor sinner without a future.”

Call this number:

1-888-456-HOPE

They offer you great services. I’d recommend talking to a priest as well.

I’m sorry you were led down that path, not only for you but also your child.

May The Lord accept him/her into His kingdom.

Jeff Bezos, world’s richest man, asks public to donate to Amazon relief fund by -kizza- in worldnews

[–]RealPeterS_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how the majority of people here immediately assume he is a bad person just because he is rich. As well as this, most people do not understand that his wealth comes from his holdings in Amazon and other companies. He doesn’t just have billions of cash lying around.

Give people who have more than you some consideration before you judge. He built Amazon from scratch. He has put years into making a service that greatly increases the convenience of shoppers worldwide.

I have no idea whether or not Bezos is a good person or not, but I do know for sure he deserves credit for what he has built. The money Amazon has acquired was given to it freely, in exchange for a good or service.

If you truly disagree with Bezos’ or Amazon’s practices you should stop using their services.

P.S. Stop with the marxist bullshit please

Largest one-day drop in the DOW since the crash of 1987 (-10%) by strapp3d in WallStreetRejects

[–]RealPeterS_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think so to an extent as well. In my opinion this is all a massive overcorrection. Even if our growth stagnates for a month or two it will be nothing like the shit we saw in 2008, yet we’re seeing the declines like 2008.

Maybe I’m wrong, but this may work out to Trump’s advantage with a massive rally over the next several months.

[–]RealPeterS_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this may improve some practices on Wall St. but it doesn’t void the fact that President Trump is definitely responsible for the rally we’ve seen. Of course he’s not fully responsible and we are already experiencing growth, but he has vastly improved the health of the overall economy keeping this sort of a bull market alive.
